  1. Couldn't agree more. Leopold should be a better player to know that looking at your feet for the puck is a big no no as a d. Not sure why they put Dion for both power play lines too, its not like he's getting anything done out there. My hope is that Keenan starts Curt on Sunday. I'm sure they will put forward a better game and they need to boost his confidence if Kipper goes down.
  2. Aquaseal is not bad as well, only thing is drying time. But it is still quite flexible when it is dry.
  3. I got the metallica too....it was a surprise...good or bad i'm not sayin. thanks for the link though FNG
  4. apparently the person has had enough of watching the flyers lose and puts it on porn instead...
  5. Unreal pics! Thanks for sharing!
  6. Agree with Conor. Picked one up about a month ago, and wouldn't think twice about doing it again. It is a little different the my old late '70's early 80's Thompson vice!
  7. ummm guess everyone is just going to ignore this?!?!

    Caddis

I have all my standard caddis done for the year, but just came up with this. Have seen it done w/ chenille but I couldn't find mine so I used some foam. I figure with the type of hook it will increase solid hook ups. Anyway, looking for opinions. I'm on a snowshoe rabbit craze, so I like the ones w/ it as the wing better than the elk.
  10. crappy back up?? get your head straight. only time you have probably seen him play is when he starts and the team doesnt show up, doesnt say hes a bad goalie at all. i agree with you that they are/might ruin him. cant expect a goalie to play every 3 months and play stellar. its real easy to sit in the stands in critique.
  11. Thanks Don, Have heard various opinions from people about what hooks are most effective, figured you'd know as well as anyone. Will take a look at those hooks for sure. Din
  12. just a few there don ... what kind of hooks do you mostly tie them on/find most successful, straight or curved shanks??
  13. Thanks man, email sent.
  14. I figure this is worth a shot. I'm a recent graduate (April '08) w/ a B. Comm, major in accounting. I'm in the midst of trying to find some work related to my degree. If you have any leads for me it would be great to hear from you..I have applied to several places, but hoping that someone may know of an opportunity. Feel free to shoot me a PM. Thanks for the help! Mitch
  15. my favorite of mine this year...
  16. If your interested I have a Gold Orvis LA Battenkill that I'm contemplating getting rid of. Its the older model..came out with a new one about a year ago I think. Will give you the line on it too...can PM me if you want. This is the one.. http://www.monodsports.com/shop.php?cmd=itm&id=10621
  17. Taken from today's game report about Halak last night..."He was very, very solid in net for them and probably was a difference maker," Flames coach Mike Keenan said... Kipper is supposed to be an elite goalie..elite goalies are supposed to be the difference makers...Ever notice when he gets scored on he looks around to try and blame the goal on someone else?? He never did that when he was 1st brought into Calgary. Just watching his mannerism on the ice he looks complacent in my eyes..he's slow to get on his feet after a shot, leans on net, etc... Letting a goalie, or any player for that matter, play consistently when they play bad sends the wrong message to them. They should have to work and produce to be put in every game, shouldn't be presumed they will continue to get ice time. Leads them to think that it doesn't matter if they don't perform...as there's always next game.
  18. Thanks, will give them a try and see what happens. Some of them were shot in RAW and some were in jpeg. so my fingers are crossed.
  19. Hi all, Have been trying to find a decent place to blow up and print some of my pics. Have tried a couple places but they didnt turn out well (smudges and imprints on the paper..ended up taking them back. It's not an issue of my mp or anything just their printers.. Does anyone have a place in Calgary that they know of that has good printing [high dpi(dots per square inche)] capabilities?? Thanks for any feedback.
