I was going to purchase the streamer express but was told to just buy SA headstart and some t8(?) sections that troutfitters makes....saved myself 35$ and its seems to be doing the trick...just an option..brent may be able tell you if its t8 or if im making it up..

Thanks, have yet to try them so can't vouch for them..but i do like the way they look. Your way would work too just more steps to tie off and restart. either way its a fairly simple tie. Mitch

carl, this is what i did... slipped the beads on first. tie in ice fur on the tail fold back over itself wrap thread 3-4 times. push beads back to touch tail then bring thread over the beads and do a couple wraps to keep the beads in place. pull over ice fur. tie in small amount of elk. then ice dub.

not sure, the lady was french who dealt with me...but she said some other guy was the one who pulled him over. no police report yet as they just were starting to go through everything will let you know if they give me a name birchy..

Got a call today from the Canmore RCMP. Vehicle was pulled over last night driving down the wrong way on hwy 1. Apparently the guy was living out of my vehicle, and had tons of stolen property in my vehicle. 10 charges laid on the guy already, and they have yet to charge him with theft of my vehicle. Bunch of needles, alcohol and *hit everywhere. No major body damage, but the inside is a nightmare. Both my rods and reels were in it, but nothing else of mine...

I would suggest a double taper. like you said 30' casts max so no point in overloading your rod because your not trying to get 100' casts. I'm a fan of the DT so once I step on my line on the sharp rocks (specially in the mountains) I can just flip it and save myself some money. my .02$

Found out that my rods aren't covered under my auto insurance, but under my home insurance...but my deductible is 2,500....so looks like I will be screwed for that *hit... at least I get a free rental car...
