you finally caught some of the elusive tarpon eh Clive. Good on ya! You'll be glad to hear that the ice is already deteriorating down south here really fast and you'll easily be able to catch a pike that could grapple that tarpon into the mud soon! Hope the trip is good to ya and we'll have to get out pikin' Definitely jealous of the trophy (at least by my standards)! And let Al have the small baitfish p.s. you must have done some fake and bake before you left, cause you look half mexican in that photo...lol,

I wouldn't call Don's post defensive (not that I need to make that apparent), but he is simply re-iterating his post. His data set may not be the statistician's dream, but in the real world you have to accept the limitations of funding, environmental conditions, manpower (or womanpower for the ladies), etc.... Good to hear you found a lab willing to do the full analysis Don. With all the pipelines and other construction going in the province (aside from well testing) the labs are pretty full with samples to test making it difficult to get your results in a timely manner( albeit yes there are outher factors contributing)

There are definitely some high calibre photos here, but don't hold back on adding to the stack of awesomeness. Every contribution will help, and it's not the camera, it's the user that makes a photo so post your favorite and be proud of it!

Lucky for him and his buddies there is no elk draw in this zone, but that's not to say someone wouldn't take a poke at him with a rifle just because of his uniqueness.

Not exactly a sasquatch, but a rarity nonetheless. Can't say I have ever seen or heard of a black elk before....but I suppose I can now. Came across this gentleman dressed in black and a couple of comrades while out in the field. Sure made my day thats for sure. Picture isn't overly clear as they were 300 yds out in a field and my telephoto doesn't produce well at the range while shooting free hand. Hope you enjoy!

Maybe you could build a hut up on the mystery rocks near the Fort and garrison it to keep the Albertan's form migrating East. I would choose the Pass myself as I have lots of playgrounds out in that region. But most likely it will Saskabush, provided Albertans don't drive the price of land out of my range (which should only take a year or two). Maybe I'll just squat on Taco's land on the Battle, or run whiskey for him out in Estevan!

Awesome job on the photo clive. Looks spectacular. Sadly I only got a few pics tonight as I kept getting sidetracked. Was the camera stationary the entire time, or did you just run out in your knickers every 15 minutes?

LS thats the law I was thinking of regarding the horse and a gun. Pretty sweet they throw in a meal on your way out of cow town too.
