  1. Yes I did.. got some good information. Thanks to those who replied with their PFD preferences.
  2. I had this discussion with a few guys in the bow conditions thread, but after searching the archives I found no threads dedicated to PFDs for wading. Here goes! Sounds like most guys use some sort of PFD when wading, and especially when wading on the Bow with our chia pet rocks. I'm in the market for a PFD and I just want to get some feedback on the brands out there that you guys use. Are there vests that have inflatable PFDs? Any bad luck cases where auto inflatables deploy in bad weather or if you slipped and took a dunk in shallow water? Any advice helps!
  3. Hey, I was 4.. Not guaranteeing those memories were accurate.
  4. I remember seeing the mountains for the first time when I was 4 at the '88 Olympics on our way out from Winnipeg to Nakiska. I was blown away at the size and beauty of the mountains... and I still rememeber peering out our van window straight up at the snowy peaks! I now live out here and have the same love for the mountains every time I come see them. Just a cool memory from my early childhood and the '88 Olympics.
  5. Thanks! lol, good one

  10. Thanks guys, had some good times.
  11. Experienced a highly variable day on the Bow with vhawk today. The fish were on and the weather was off and on. Just wanted to share the day.. It started out as a bit gusty but above zero & sunny at our cars. The wind really picked up at almost the exact moment we got to the spot and unhooked, which made things fairly difficult. Hooked into a few fish while the sun was shining.. She splashed the lens.. Fat brown The action slowed quite a bit so we walked down stream to try and find the next hole.. Got word that a pretty hefty storm was rolling through North Calgary, and it appeared to be coming our way. Within minutes it hit us hard! Blizzard blast!! haha. Between gusts we chucked out the gear, vhawk was bested by a hog that he could hardly budge after hooking up. Unfortunately, It ended up as the one that got away, and bent the hook in the process. Had a minute to grab this picture as we waited for the wind to die down after the storm. We finished the day at just below zero degrees, no wind, and sunshine. Landed two more rainbows before packing it in. Despite the weather, we had an awesome time out today!
