  1. I personally run a set of Toyo Open Country AT and love them. Good traction in the back country and a pretty smooth ride on the highway. Currently on a 2006 Nissan Xterra off-road and have 50,000 kms on them with a good amount of tread left. I did go with a 10 ply tire so a thicker rubber.
  2. Great looking fish Hawg. I can only imagine seeing those tanks going after a mouse pattern that would be one heck of an experience.
  3. I live pretty far south in New Brighton just North of Highway 22x/Stoney Trail. The commute to downtown can be a bugger sometimes. For fishing though it is great I am on Deerfoot and out very quickly roughly 1.5 - 2 hours to the Crow, Oldman, livingstone etc. Also can hit up the bow very easily.
  4. Haha and come up with a clever name for it?
  5. I would imagine that catches some fish. I really like the looks of that. Let me know how it turns out.
  6. I need more buddies like that aaa.
  7. Congrats on getting out of debt. I would look at spending some on a trip, single and some money always good to do a trip. I just visited Australia for a month recently and even though I went a little over budget, it was worth it. In your situation, though might I recommend a trip roughly ~$2500-3000 then spend the rest on toys here. New Tv, fly rod etc. I think you can do Southeast Asia for not a crazy sum of money. Australia is expensive both to get to and to travel. If you choose Australia I would be glad to give you a few ideas or things I learned.
  8. Wow that is a hell of a fish.
  9. Haha well congrats. I need you next to me for a 50/50 at a flames game.
  10. Nice picture.
  11. Also a change to the licensing system. Nothing major and looks as though anyone who has fished in Sasketchewan will be familiar to it. http://www.mailoutinteractive.com/Industry/View.aspx?id=548088&q=708258624&qz=3b8715
  12. Just joined the facebook group Al. My real name is Russell Bell.
  13. That is great news Al, I am happy to hear it all worked out. I look forward to stopping by this season.
  14. Those are some great looking fish. It looks like that one fish on the right of the 6:54 post is smiling.
  15. Haha rumour has it there is a shack out that way with a bit of a reputation.
  16. I like beer and fishing. Thankfully a good portion of my July weekends will be spent on the river... With the girlfriend's permission, of course. So I imagine I can show you around a bit. I have been fly fishing for a few seasons now so probably have enough knowledge to be dangerous. I personally hit up Fish Tales, Country Pleasures and Hansons due to the location. I have had great service and discussions at all those shops. There is another one downtown, which has Galvan reels so I think I will have to stop by there soon too. As for the flies I imagine you will get lots of additional follow up from people on here. Personally the most fish I have caught in the bow has been on the prince nymph. I have also had a lot of fun with streamers as well, but usually earlier in the season than July.
  17. Odd the pictures are a no show for me.
  18. Or you can take Craig Ferguson's approach http://cdn.themetapicture.com/media/funny-Canadian-hockey-team-pock-joke.jpg
  19. Thanks Bob, glad it didn't go unnoticed.
  20. Here, here. Also congrats on the Curling sweep and all the other athletes. A very proud day indeed for all Canadians.
  21. Great pictures, looks like a nice winter so far.
  22. That is an interesting looking pattern. Nicely done.
  23. Happy new year. When does one transition from cranky old fart to young whipper snapper?
  24. I have last year's model Panasonic Lumix and I am very pleased with it. The pictures are good and the camera is very rugged. It evens swims in beer I found out.
