  1. This trip sounds like the making of great "camping stories" for years to come. Jealous!
  2. Exactly. And the fact that there's a dude taking a deuce on the front of the magazine I'm reading.. JMO. For those of you who've been down to these locations... please excuse my naivety. Is this a real outhouse? And if so, please tell me there's some sort of container underneath and the waste isn't going directly into the water..??
  3. Woohoo!! A good start to an awesome vacation!
  4. I stumbled across the new website on Wednesday... Looks awesome. Night and day from the old one. Good job guys!
  5. Although I haven't seen it with my own eyes, from what I've heard, it happens here too all the time!
  6. Chuck and duck!! Use heavier & shorter tippet - like 4-6 feet of 3X or heavier.. try and slow down your casting stroke a bit and open up your loops. I think the more line you have out, the better it can carry the streamer out there. I will literally do a double haul and then duck down to a crouching position sometimes! hahaha Although you can cast streamers with lighter rods, having a heavier rod like a 7 or 8 weight I think makes it a bit easier too.
  7. Average cap hit of $4.02 million and a "no movement" clause.. might be tough.. unless a different team wants to pay $4 million for a "smashing Hemsky's head into the glass from behind" specialist....
  8. 1.7km as the crow flies, according to Google Earth (provided that's the right lake I'm looking at):
  9. So you meant to go past where you were to the emerald blue lake I'm assuming? Doh! Looked like an amazing adventure nonetheless!
  10. It's been awhile since I posted this fish: Here's a 22" rainbow for better reference of the above..
  11. I voted right. Left one looks too much like a guy on the crapper..
  12. "The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be… unnatural."
  13. My in-laws had a good one that apparently worked well for my wife when she was in her early teenage years... Her dad threaded a rope through a cinder block and wrote the word "attitude" on it.. whenever she was disrespectful to them, she got to wear the "attitude block" around her neck for awhile. LOL
  14. I always share. Doesn't bother me in the least. Plus I figure that there will be days when I'm the one that's asking the question. As far as putting in the time and effort in order to have that knowledge to always catch fish.. I don't think that telling a person what's working at that exact time is really going to make a difference. It will work for them that day, then when they go back the next day it won't work and they still won't be able to catch fish. Whereas you will, because of your knowledge. There really is no substitute for experience on the water.. telling someone what's working isn't going to "fast track" them to the level that you're at. IMO. PS - I really wish I was at the same level as guys like yourself!! haha. But I'm only in year #4 and have a LONG ways to go.
  15. Any updates on the re-scheduled dates Dutchie/SilverDoctor?
  16. It's a thing of beauty isn't it?
  17. I witnessed this on the way home yesterday too. There was a bit of a "commotion" on the corner of 33rd Ave. & Crowchild Tr. SW at the top of the ramp. When I rounded the corner there was a lady laying on the ground on her side.. she was either unconscious or sleeping. Two other people there helping her and I'm assuming waiting for a ambulance.
  18. Just for the record.. my guy wasn't downtown, and he wasn't a bum. 34th Ave. in Marda Loop, regular Joe just like you or me, laying unconscious on the sidewalk with bike beside him. Very obvious that only one of two things happened... crashed or hit by vehicle.
  19. You can always call RAP. # is on the back of your angling license.
