I bet 90% of the forum members have looked down at the fly they were using and realized that they didn't pinch down the barb or didn't pinch it down fully!!!! I pinch down all my barbs before puting them in my fly boxes, but i still find the odd one thats still got a barb.

Replacement Seat F/ Drift Boat
markd replied to duanec's topic in General Chat - Fly Fishing Related
Most drift boat rower seats are actually the same as a riding mower seat (John Deere, Toro, Etc)... cheaper then buying them from a boat dealer for an identical product. call the mfg of your boat and say you don't want to pay the insane shipping to canada. they'll tell you what the seat model is. -
they spawn at opposite times of the year (bulls in the fall, rainbows in the spring), and most rainbows get a white leading edge on their fins. I'd put it as very unlikely.

Consider that the XP was out for around 8 years before they discontinued it. They added more rods to the Z-Axis lineup just last year, and the original rod has only been out for 2ish years. You could be waiting another 5+ years before they discontinue the Z-Axis.

a very nice specimen. Cuttbow, more of an inclination to a bow. Might be a full on rainbow, but from the background i'm sure it's got a good chance to have some cutty in it

They G4's are completely mispriced, they were on the same rack and same price as the Freestones..they haven't started off so well! -
Bass Pro Soft Opening

I think you're missing my point. Sure Dany Heatley could shoot it better then me with the cooper, but would he not have a better shot in comparison to himself using the synergy? -

And i'll beg to differ with you, Lower end rod's are usually a slower action, which gives the user a much easier time using them if their timing isn't perfect, giving the illusion of it being a better rod, when it is usually hide's the caster's faults . A top end brand name rod, will normally be a fast to ultra-fast action rod which will work far better for someone who has a quick casting stroke, and their timing down with the use of double and single hauls (aka, usually a more experienced angler)... There are reason's the best casters in the world don't use hundred dollar rods.... -
Noticed the fly tying instruction post. Country Pleasures also has fly tying instruction only in video format at http://www.countrypleasures.com/fly_tying.htm

I cast it more like a scandi then a skagit, one smooth motion. It doesn't give you the line stick required, to be using it like a skagit....it's incredible for kiss and go castin
-
No you don't. I've single hand spey casted with 000 weights before, the line weight really doesnt matter..It's more about timing then power (up-lining will be good to start, but hide some casting faults over time as your timing doesn't have to be as exact)...
