So at the end of tonight's weather, Dave Spence shows the expected YYC temps over the next while, and the graph sorta looks like the one below. Everyone groans on camera and off camera. And Barb Higgins pipes up and says, "Hey, that looks like the Calgary Flames record." It was funny at the time. Maybe you had to see it.

The FTR celebrated its 50 anniv about ten years ago .. I wrote an article about it. Me thinks it was the formalization of other roads that already existed. It runs from Coleman to (near) Grand Prairie. I am sure there is something within the AB gov't websites if you look hard enough. It was constructed as a means of access for fire suppression. Here is the layout .........complete with a major error in the accommanying map re Coleman's location. Pretty strange that here were press releases on the anniv and they don't even seem to be on the AB gov't website.

Mine is 31 inches -- an old desk. No probs with back etc. I am about 5'11". The key may be a good adjustable-height chair that you can vary the height of. Also, there should be some play in the height of your vise. Between the chair and vise adjustments you should be able to correct your neck probs. BTW...if you find that you have to boost the chair so high that your feet dangle or are uncomfortable, get a foot stool to take the pressure of your legs. Oh yeah .. some tie with the vise clamped to the edge of the desk. I find that uncomfortable and awkward too. If you have a pedestal vise you can place the vise where it is most comfortable. I drilled a hole in my desk and the "split clamp" vise sits approx 20 cm from the edge of the desk so I can rest my arms on the desk--takes strain of neck I suspect. Good luck ! Clive

Winter A Poem By Abigail Elizabeth Mcintyre
dryfly replied to dryfly's topic in General Chat - Fishing Related
Thanks Dave. I felt that it suited the upscale, high-style class of people that attend this message board. Nothing like a little classy literature ... I've a pessimistic feeling that we may have to edit it come mid January. It may need beefing up. Clive -
FOR RENT ... 12-v shower ... Financing can be arranged. ... Just kidding. However ... I did buy one of these for the old farts Whitetail campout. This has to be the very best camping device ever invented. (Actually easy to make with a bilge pump, 20-L pail and flex-hose shower head.) We ran off a 12-volt porta-power dealy. Used turkey cooker for heating water.

Anyone Here Good With Camera Repair?

Unless we've a camera techy on board your loveable digital is now officially a doorstop. As you noted, the camera is not worth repairing--agreed. You'll have a 2-year-old repaired camera. Buy a new one for $300 or so. It is sad really, but that's life these days at $75 to $100 per hour for bench time. -
LS .. Here's my web page on net spinners... Clive

Nymph. Need to be in the zone and if they are snoozey they won't be chasing too much. I am speaking of the Crow. Hard to get a streamer right down in the troughs IMHO. Way more fun to nymph a smaller river anyway.

This could be a first ever, anywhere on earth. The forum monitor will have to lock a thread about a thread that was locked. -
I noted this above ... Nice group site below the OM dam. The main c/g tends to be underused as well so should be quiet in the regular area. You can fish right there or 30 minutes to the Crow, 45+ to Castle, 1 hour+ to the Gap. The fishing below the dam comes and goes. Was pretty decent in spring. This is certainly not the most prime, pristine "destination" group site, however, it is probably the quietest on a weekend. And only 15 minutes to Pincher for more beer. I went to Cottonwood on the (what?) August long and it was perhaps 20 percent occupied. The fishing is not the best right there (comes and goes), but it is rather central to a lot of fishing. Syncline would be nice for sure. "cheaper than a Schaupmeyer cigar " I am shattered. Alas, this true tho.

Yeah, with 8X and a spey rod. Just funnin'

Keep us posted. Only 7 months away. We'll probably be at the trailer that weekend, so would drive down to wherever it was at least for a few hours. Just a thought. ... longs are hard for people who can't get away Thursday as a lot of campgrounds are full by Thur evening. Make it the weekend of the OM TU weed pull at the lease in early July or late June...date TBA. Just work for 3 to 4 hours on Sat morning is all. That way we'd get some labor out of this band of reprobates.

Lordy Taco!! How old are you? Do you remember "red strap" blue jeans. Circa 1957. They were "worker style" jeans with a red strap by the front pocket that was sposed to be to hold a hammer handle. These were REAL worker pants v some hip-hop style. But they because the rage with pre-teens and teens. So weird they were cool. Also so old there are no pictures of them on Google images. We digress. Anyway, Conor, the "relaxed fit' waders are really comfortable.
