we hooked our coho on blue/silver and green/silver christmas trees, sorry I have no pics of those I was out of batteries. We found the coho mainly lying on the confluences of side channels meeting the main flow of the river

I will tell you from experience this last season the the bow is a unreadable mistress of the night for new guys, you just need to put in time and ally yourself with experienced guys.... keep it up it can be tough times and a the learning curve is very gradual. it will come

I hear ya, I used to shoot film and now I am on a DSLR and I have the "auto" function nailed down, but I want to take some epic shots. This week I'll be fishing with my dad and he shoots a tonne of digital so hoping I can roach some knowledge off of him.

I hope this will be accepted in this forum section. For those of you that shoot hi end cameras, do any of you use polarized filters. I have a Pentax K110D I generally shoot with my Pentax/SMC DA 18-55 or my Pentax/SMC DA 50-200 both with or without a Petal Hood depending on light conditions. Would I benefit in my fish pictures with a polarized filter???

So Dekkard AKA Jake, took out myself and 420flyfisherman aka Jeremy, out on sunday. We had met earlier this year up in K-country and formed the starts of a good friendship, those of you that know Jake know why. So Jake took us out for the ellusive brown trout, which Jeremy or I haven't had the opportunity to net yet. We were also very excited about the opportunity to be shown great nymphing and streamer skills. In these departments my strategy guide has been bleak. I love dry flys and have had a great year on them so why change..... well you know why. The fishing was not so good but we did see quite a few browns chilling. Had a few hits each and Jake had a couple of good runs. mainly I was happy to expand my fishing armoury, and I like to catch pictures of fish almost as much as I like catching them. Right before we decide to eat lunch Jake caught a nice little brown, here are the pics, and thanks Jake.
