Merry Christmas all. About 7 years ago i decided that turkey was kinda boring for Christmas dinner so we started changing it up.This year its steak and seafood.My wife the awesome cook that she is will take care of the sea food.She has asked me to take care of the steak. So I'm looking for some different ideas on producing the perfect steak. Thanks,

It is a little lower then previous years maybe 5-10m3/sec .Last i checked it was about 58m3/sec and 08 and 07 it was about 55-65 so its pretty close.Maybe like you said something to do with the weir.I looked back at 2005 for November and it was almost at 100m3 all month.

Since your not holding back air and only want a patch you might get away with something like Vina bond available at Calgary Tent and awning.Its like contact cement for vinyl.I'm sure it would do the trick i think its 14$for 500ml.

I don't no why everybody's all over the sanding trucks,i was out in both storms they were out as usual.They can't be every where.I was on deerfoot at 3pm on the first storm before it really hit and they where sanding.Good thing too because it went from wet at Memorial to ice by 16th and when i got to 64th you couldn't see.

Picked up a nice butt today and finished my project.I drilled out the blank enough to get the new flange in, mixed up some epoxy and pored enough in to fill the end of the blank and the other voids.After it was dry i poured in some more and installed the new flange.Other then getting epoxy all over the place it worked well.Good thing it isn't any longer as it just fits back in the case.

Nice tie,i have done the same thing.One thing i would suggest is not tie the foam at the back to the hook.I bend my hook down a little to keep it away from the foam. I think it helps with more hook ups.

Hey that looks good,so that smaller piece should fit inside of my blank?So i don't have to cut my blank.I don't have a set of calipers how do i measure the I.D. of my blank?Its a 6wt 10' Eastfork. Edit;after looking at your pic i see i will still have too cut my blank down for it to fit.Or does it fit over the blank? Thanks for answering all my newbie questions Jack.

one of my old cheap rods has a butt,so i heated it and removed.But its too small of a butt i would like something longer almost like a two hander so i can do some of these spey casts.Its the same size as the Eastfork one 15.5mm but as you can see in the 1st pic i will have to remove the reel seat and cut the blank down to make room for the insert.My question is are they all the same thread?Can i use this insert and just go buy a longer butt?
