Thanks for that i was wondering if they worked.I have a pair with felt and spikes got them used,thought that they where the greatest thing ever but now that the felt has worn they slip allot.At first i thought it was the spikes that made them so sticky but it was the felt.Hard metal on hard rocks just slides.Spikes are good for muddy hills and wet grass,felt is what holds you on slippery rocks.

That would be a work out on the 5wt.Looks like he's sitting on a tarp or is that the weeds?

I was looking threw the patterns page and came across Don A's fly of daphnia.So i came up with these for a cluster of midges.

I was gonna say dill-doe but i see the horns so I'm stumped.

A guy goes into a bar and there is a robot bartender. The robot says, "What will you have?" The guy says "Martini." The robot brings back the best martini ever and says to the man, "What's your IQ?" The guy says, "168." The robot then proceeds to talk about physics, space exploration and medical technology. The guy leaves, but he is curious, so he goes back into the bar. On a tour of Florida, the Pope took a couple of days off to visit the coast for some sight seeing. I here ya when i looked at them i thought great until i saw the price.I made my own but my boat is a little 12' car topper doesn't weigh much at all.How big of boat do you have?

A couple of years back a friend had over filled his pontoon and blew out a seem at the point of the bladder.All i had was loctite 420 so we tried it,still holding today.Available at Calgary fasteners and tools or at acklands.

I think Sundance has caught over 3000 in one day and bonked them all.

Great stories guys,keep them coming. For me has to be the fishing in the dark,big browns make a distinctive sound when coming up for your fly.I remember one in particular the sound the pull and the repeating jumps that happens after they brake you off.I didn't see a thing but i will remember the sounds.

2078 its the one in my avatar pic.If you look real close you can see a lead weight taped on,i lost the handle balance.Would you believe it took 1/4 oz of lead to balance it.

I have one nice reel smooth drag and its too light to balance my 10' 6wt loomis.If that helps.

Nice pic's Dale that camera sure brings out the colors.

Although not very appealing a little gravy on top just might work.

My friend has the Frabill 2 man we can get 3 in it.The seats are attached to a bar that sits forward of the toboggan.We just put a chair in the toboggan and this makes more room for the third peson to sit by the door.

OK one exception,cakes with meat in them and end up getting fried in oil are OK. Still wondering how tofu and chocolate cake can end up in the same sentence.

I would spend the extra $ and get something like this one. Having the plastic tub to hold everything like your auger,rods, heater and cooler makes it much easier to fish and move to different spots.Also with the extra weight it helps to keep it in one spot with the wind.Not to mention set up is really quick.

Cake is really overrated IMO.Just a bunch of flavored sugars piled into one.Very boring, like fishing with a spin cast rod.Now pie on the other hand is something to get excited about.Base layers of fluffy pastry's baked to perfection then filled with fresh fruits and toped with ice cream.Very exciting, just like fly fishing.
