was a good time all around (except for Harps insisting on that damn "character shot" with the sucker)...especially the German booze Lethfisher brought...that Apfel was slick... on a side note, the rod i picked up from mitch was absolutely fantastic...just took a bit to warm it up (as is the case with any new rod)...

single shanked: approx. 2"-4"...articulated/double shanked: 6"-12"...

i measure out in two inch increments from the butt of my rod starting at 12" up to 30"...each of my increments is marked with a permanent marker...

no kidding eh?...it seemed that the whole tourney, the winning flies were highly impressionistic or completely tied focusing on realism...basic patterns didn't stand a chance this year...

i've got the 8100 pearl and i love it...

i'll be gone for the weekend (some early season camping and fishing to be had)...i will post the flies/poll on sunday...three flies have been submitted and i'm just waiting on brent (if he can get one in amidst his hard work studying)...so if you send me an email and i don't respond brent, no worries...

i had the same question last year in regards to bull trout landing/weighing (in the event of a possible record )...if i could find one around lethbridge, i would give them a go (but only if i was fishing with a partner as it might be hard to land a fish without the use of a 3rd hand)...

when i first read this thread's topic, i thought this was a photo essay on dave's night out on the weekends... nice pics jeff...

oldman drainage should be alright this year... however, i'm slightly worried about the castle drainage (although it doesn't look near as bad as last year)... hopefully there's not another straight month of +30 temps this summer...
