  1. Starling? Those flies are money over here, be it with a black or silver, gold or pearl mylar bodies.
  2. here is the 2008 anglers guide http://www.nfl.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/publications/...rsGuide2008.pdf You'll need a guide if you fish more than 800m from a proper road, unless you have blood relatives that are NL residents to babysit you. And what ever you do don't forget the fly dope, you'll last much longer without water. Goodluck in the big land.
  3. on the WFN channel the fly fusion commerial shows your fly that was featured....pretty sure anyways
  4. Looks like someone is watching "Sport fishing on the Fly".........I tied them up in size 14.....................never tryed them yet

  8. I know nothing about these tube thingys.............................do the fins go over you wader boots or do just go over the sock foot of your waders. I see that force fins go on your sock foot wader but others go on the wading boot. I would think that on you boot ones would be more convinent but the force fins seem to be everyone chioce............help please.

  10. Wow...................nice fish..............nicer backdrop.
  11. happy b-day brownstone.........................i was thinking that FFC members could chip in and buy a pair of gloves each for you and your dad.
  12. St. John's has become not so honest as of late
  13. And to make it worst I go back in the house to pick up my 3 wt to go fishing to relieve the stress of it all get back to truck and then I think.............I got no G&%(^*N motherF%&king flies after spending all f&^King winter hoard up in the motherf&^King attic. tying.
  14. After getting into somefish last night I was up at 5:00 bright eyed and bushy tailed and really to at it again. Pull on the ole waders lace up the boots and jump into the truck...............something not right............no rod over my right shoulder.................after being froze to the core by 5 hours waist deep in cold water in breathables I left my rod rigged up. Turn around and no vest............no spare...........and another no spare. I'll leave the play by play out due to the family nature of the board. So I'm short Sage launch c/w orvis battenkill bar stock...and spare spool in the vest Scott V2 Berkley Enforcer c/w reel............................I know they don't know there arse from a hole in the ground......................who would steal a Berkley enforcer Fish pond vest with all the goodies inside.........comlete with my winters work of trout flies Jurys still out on my battenkill mid arbour for my 8wt might be in my tying room..........................hopin. Looks like I'm touring the pawn shops tonight.
  15. I've been on them since Feb............................but the runs are only starting now.........geting the odd young female hovering backing and forth on the tides. Kelts and resident browns have made the year so far, but looking forward to fresh fish. I'm hoping to get into salmon this year, been lucky to be working with a guy who has fished for them on both sides of the pond for the last 40plus years and offered to take me out. Also geting great help on the fly tying from him he was taught by one of the best.......................lucked in for sure
  16. I picked it up for 25 bucks, I don't know much about lines, I just run 444 on all my rod with a cheap-o sinking line on an extra spool for a change up. I don't know much about lines and was hoping that the multi color line would be at least a mid to upper quality line ...................sure even a crstyal river line will run you 20 bones. I'll find out when I get my rod kit put together I guess.
  17. I bought a fly line that was new out of box hoping someone can help me ID it. Its a 4wf multi color line...............olive taper with a peach running line. see the pic
  18. You guys need salt pork to make those muds taste right.
  19. Aliant/bell.....wife downloaded a ring tone......................ring tone cost $2.50........................plus 22.35 for download transmission..................gotta love them.
  20. not true for me......................bought one pair of hundy plus glasses, didn't last any longer than the 20 dollar jobie..................may it just me.
  21. 3-500 per pair at approx 3-4 pair per season....................a little bit too much for me........................gonna stick with the Rapalas at wally world for 16.99
  22. I bought a 6wt V2 earlier in the year, very similar action to the Launch, If you like one you will like the other. They are discontinued so you should be able to get a good price on one...................got my 4 pc for 185 in NL (NIB), so you should be able to get a much bettre price out your way. The A2 is a little faster than the V2..........I thinking about the A2 in a 8wt for the Salmon.
  23. He'll be three in August.......not actually 2'-6" btw. The second pic with the line wrapped around himself is from him actually trying to cast..........thought it was pretty funny my self. It not that he is overly interested in fishin'.......just loves to be outside, he was just as happy playing in the snow and throwing rocks in the pool. I think the flyfishing could fustrate the little ones, only reason I had the flyrod, is because I couldn't find the "winnie the pooh" rod i bought him last summer. He did fine, stood on my left flank when I'd cast for him and learned to pinch the line to the rod and strip line from there......................and no trouble reeling in two little trout..................
