Jack: I don't practice cast without a leader but no doubt my far less than perfect casting ends up in whipping of the line. Interesting to hear im not the only one with cracking on my SA lines. Besides the cracking I really like them though

Thanks cutbow. I contacted SA and they said to send it in. So I sent in the GPX and kept the sharkskin to keep me going. Hopefully they'll warranty it

My reddingtons have leaky seams too, aqua seal is a beautiful product though

Sounds like a great project. I can really see a fly tying bench being a nice piece of furniture, tying flies it's self seems like such a classic/traditional activity it would be nice to display it as a piece of art. I build a table top bench and I would recommend, if you haven't already, look at and try as many benches as you can to get a feel for what you might want on it. make sure to post pictures and keep us up to date

I have been having cracking on two of my fly lines within the last year ones a GPX and one a shark skin both on my 6 wt. The cracking is on the front third of the line, these cracks go probably a third of the way through and are quite plentiful. I have not seen any negative effects such as sinking but it seems like just a matter of time before it's shot. I think I take fairly good care of my lines - out of the sun, dry, periodic cleaning and dressing. Is this something I am doing or have other people experienced this?

I don't seem to get takes in the first part of my drift so it makes me think sinking isn't as appealing as the dead drift or rise. i'll be interested to hear what the experts have to say.

I have installed a free back up software on my comp. I created 3 folders on my external: Nightly, Weekly, Monthly and set it up to back up at those intervals. Saved my but a few months ago when my laptop crashed.

This ipad looks brutal. It does everything but nothing good. Book reader - I don't use them but i don't think this type of display would be good for the eyes. The kindles e ink displays seems far better for this. NetBook - No background apps?? This seemed somewhat reasonable on the iphone but on something like this that seems ridiculous. I would need to see a completely different OS before thinking this could take over what netbooks are. Ipod - Way to big. There are a few situations a year in my life where i may want that nice big screen for a movie or something but not enough to have to pack that thing around. So what kind of market do you guys think it will hit? I am thinking business people who travel lots and could enjoy the screen for movies and such, seems like a small market. Edit: and still no flash
