    New Camera's

Great shots Gary! What camera did you buy?! Peter
  2. I think most of their Pati stuff is 50% but just give Brent or Kevin a call (and make sure you ask him about my % of the commission ) NOt sure if it's listed on the website - I know Brent was working on that recently... Also Patagonia website had them on sale, as well! P *Edit* Just checked the BRTF website and they list "select" Deep Wading Jackets @ 50% off! ALso checked the patagonia website and they only have smalls & larges left for US$120 - if you have someone in the US you can send it to, they can intern send it "as a gift" to you... Or you can just pay the gst, duty & brokerage...
  3. Bowriver Troutfitters has patagonia Deep Wading jackets on sales!! See the link Headscan listed... P
  4. Check out this interesting link... http://www.outdoorsmenforum.ca/showthread.php?t=15296 And this factoid: The Glenmore Reservoir doesn't give up many big trout, but every now and then it delivers a dandy. Way back in 1983, a 13-year-old using eight-pound-test line landed a brown weighing almost 14 pounds. It's believed to be Calgary's largest-ever angler-caught trout.
  5. Steeple (or tower) cast http://www.sexyloops.com/flycasting/tsteeple.shtml P
  6. Saw a photo of a Rainbow and a bunch of browns taken outta there recently... And I've only caught Pike... So it is fishable! P
  7. The weather doesn't get any better than this... Unfortunately, the water was up about 3' from last week, so fishing wasn't great...
  8. I know there is one for AB lakes (though i can't remember the name of it) that provide contours. For rivers yu could try google earth... Peter
  9. Yuck!
  10. So my girlfriend's brother-in-law's brother took over the Lodge this year and we're heading out in July... Has anybody been? The descriptions sound pretty good! http://www.thuyalakes.com/ Peter
  11. Beauties!! Good on ya! P
  12. Yeah Gary and Donna at Alpine are the best!! P
  13. I have the opposite foot issue and have a really narrow foot (BB)!! I went with Dunham and will never look back. I know they make the waffle stomper in EEE. I'm not sure if New Balance makes the Waffle Stomper anymore, but there should be a few shops that still have them in calgary or online! Get the red carbon Fiber ones if you can! And cost is pretty good, also! Good luck! P
  14. And one more: This was the big boy, so big in fact I could hardly hold it (net opening is 18")!!
  15. More photos:
  16. Had a great B-day with Colin (CDone). Caught a swack of BIG Bullies (thanks for the beta GGP & BBB). One 30"+ took me to my backing, not once but twice (first time EVER!!). Did 4000% better then on holiday Monday! Nice to meet you Bob (guy from NY State), glad you were able to finally hook-up. Thanks again Colin! Cheers! Peter
  17. Contact Colin (CDone) on this board (Kodiko Custom Rods I think). He repaired a rod of mine and I was VERY satisfied. I recommend him! Cheers, Peter
  18. Amen, brother! P
  19. Cheers, Now we know!! Thanks, P
  20. Hmm... Prairie Creek in the Elbow Falls area (closed from until June 16 from what I can gather in the regs)?! And the N Sask... Worlds apart!! You must like driving (and on the wrong side) :P P
  21. John, P M DrBullet (Nigel) he is from the UK and moved here a year (or so) ago... I met him floating the upper bow one evening and we've been fishing mates ever since... He had a difficult time at first (stubborn Brits don't want to listen to the locals advise), :P but now that he has, things have REALLY improved for him and he is a much happier angler... I'm sure as a fellow ex-pat he'll help you out a lot... You're welcome to head out with us (me) anytime... Might just have wait until the water clears up a lot, first! COme June 1st I'll show you some hot spots where you live!! Cheers! Peter
  22. Nick, I am a "Non OHV" guy and I always will be!! That being said, partnering with the OHV community is key here. As an example, a buddy of mine is the Parks Planner for Canmore and when the community and Land owners complained about an illegal mt. bike course (those kids sure put up a beautiful course), the first thing he did when he (they) proposed that the town build a course up at the nordic centre was get the kids involved that built the illegal course and they were key in designing the new (and legal) one, and since they actually had input and felt that they were part of the process, it worked out very well!! Same thing happened here with Millennium Park with the skateboards, they helped plan and design the park. Those bureaucrats like those sorts or partnerships & win-win scenarios!! Cheers! P
