  2. the first fish on of the trip the handle fell off my reel. that ensured a fair fight. fortunately i brought my spare spool along.
  3. another raft day in the middle of nowhere
  4. we travelled some of the worst logging roads in the area
  5. rainy days are steelhead days
  6. i had the gods smile upon me one day going 4/4 wild summer run steelies on the same fly. all in it was good trip but more rain was needed for the steelie rivers to be a little more forgiving.
  7. some tough access spots! this was dragging the raft to the river through a small creek.
  8. fished for some chum on the big q river on the first afternoon just to take the edge off

  10. some random images from our trip last week. started off with a bang when we got tagged on the highway by an escalade. sorry i can't seem to get the attachments working correctly so it's multiple posts. enjoy.
  11. ha! how about a 4 for 4 day, all wild summer run steels and all using the same fly? da gods were with me tuesday. wednesday, not so much. today i went 1 for 2. sigh, gonna miss it here...

  13. thanks dude! looking like the weather gods have put the stamp, nitnat & nahmint in 'perfect condition' for us. it'll be damp & cold next week but i think those are good conditions for migrating fish. hopefully when i get back i get put up an epic post. and hopefully we land a few. and we'll have to get at least one more boat day on the bow in nov. cheers!

  15. too add to that keep it positive sentiment: this is a complex issue that's been given the dead-horse-beating treatment several times on this board. yes, several memebers have strong opinions, some are on the fence and some see both sides. many others are maybe like me and don't feel informed enough about the issue yet. i for one am very glad to hear it's getting put forward at the discussion table level, and i'd like to express thanks to those who are attempting to sorth through those strong opinions and various rants and come up with a legit list of issues and concerns to bring to the table on behalf of us who cannot make the trip north or make it on short notice. i look forward to reading the report & notes from the meeting.
