  1. have you?
  2. i have this awesome fishcake recipe, however it requires photographing it with one hand which commonly leads to 'fish may be on the rocks photo' syndrome which commonly leads to 'having your fish porn deleted'
  3. now that's not very sporting. i'll trade ya for a lemon rum cake recipe?
  4. if you are a noob poster on that board it's hardly a war. more of a search & destroy. actually i agree in principle that a noob does not have the same voice as a long time member on a message board. oh and flamers are ok in my books. i'm all for equality.
  5. i need bullets for this cake:
  6. i also had a 100+ day on a cutty stream, all on dry fly in the rain. forgot about that one, but it was a great day, and yes within the last 3 yrs.
  7. sweet feesh. was not a fly guy when i lived in foxless creek, plan to get back there some day.
  8. well done
  9. yes, on a river in the yukon fly fishing for grayling. there were 2 of us, we planned an entire day but we had to make up games like 'catch that particular fish' to keep interest up as we were kinda done by noon. caught several during a false cast. shore lunch was good.
  10. well done lads looks like a good'r. nice pix.
  11. oh. maybe your nan makes a bitchin' one at xmas, but general rule of thumb is friends don't let friends serve fruitcake at a wedding. my nuptuals were blessed by a cake made by this shoppe that was called 'chocolate overdose' up in the 'chuck [think they burnt down a few yrs ago]. 4 kinds of handmade chocolate. a small slice weighed about the same as what the average bow river brown trout caught by most polysci majors weighs, but less than what the law majors claim. delicious cake **nom **nom
  12. i'd never heard of this thing you speak of. i'd try it but someone else has to make it sounds like a lot of effin work to prepare.
  13. reality = the right will fracture itself over eddie [as example] yet the left/center will not even come close to having the scratch or support it needs to be considered as legitimate opposition.
  14. ya that's not right. here's a nice meat loaf cake w/potato & cheese frosting. i think this would work, too.
  15. hmmmm. maybe i had it and never knew it? i'm a carrier? someone sent me this re: swine flu paranioa: i laffed, but maybe i should be at home...
  16. that's identical in symptoms & speed to a wicked head-cold that's ripping it's way around, incl. my fam. i literally know a dozen people who've had the same or very similar. also it seems to get better but also hangs around for a week or three as well. glad to hear you're on the mend, but i don't think that's the swine flu?
  17. there are times in other ff/nfr threads on the ffc board when one is given to a desire to express a deep affection for cake, however it is becoming apparent that sometimes the free and open expression of this affection is suppressed, mocked or locked, sometimes by the very ppl who are most deserving of a slice of delicious cake. for those like myself who like cake but are sometimes shy about it, or are afraid to mention it in other threads, or perhaps just want to share the joy of cake with someone but don’t want to hijack other threads, i offer this unlimited cake thread as a safe haven to post cake pictures, recipes, and openly discuss and rate cake of all types.
  18. worm? very briefly. guide commented it could work in larger sizes in the summer... ya it was a really good trip, we coulda used more rain mid week, but i had a golden day and learned a lot more about fly fishing for steelhead. unfortunately however i think i've contracted 'the fever'.
  19. egg sucking leeches were popular for sure. at one access point we hauled the raft down a little creek, over boulders and under logs. it was a lot of work but worth it. we floated and worked about 3 miles of river that day. that was my 4 day. a few other access points were not quite as tough to get down to the river, but we lost about 12-18" of water depth overnight so it got very tough to float and the fish got spooky. got blanked next day so we went back to the tough access spot after that and i picked up one, the only fish that day.
