  1. some random images from our trip last week. started off with a bang when we got tagged on the highway by an escalade. sorry i can't seem to get the attachments working correctly so it's multiple posts. enjoy.
  2. ha! how about a 4 for 4 day, all wild summer run steels and all using the same fly? da gods were with me tuesday. wednesday, not so much. today i went 1 for 2. sigh, gonna miss it here...
  3. awesome. never get tired of pix of the steelies!
  4. thanks dude! looking like the weather gods have put the stamp, nitnat & nahmint in 'perfect condition' for us. it'll be damp & cold next week but i think those are good conditions for migrating fish. hopefully when i get back i get put up an epic post. and hopefully we land a few. and we'll have to get at least one more boat day on the bow in nov. cheers!
  5. nice feesh man!
  6. too add to that keep it positive sentiment: this is a complex issue that's been given the dead-horse-beating treatment several times on this board. yes, several memebers have strong opinions, some are on the fence and some see both sides. many others are maybe like me and don't feel informed enough about the issue yet. i for one am very glad to hear it's getting put forward at the discussion table level, and i'd like to express thanks to those who are attempting to sorth through those strong opinions and various rants and come up with a legit list of issues and concerns to bring to the table on behalf of us who cannot make the trip north or make it on short notice. i look forward to reading the report & notes from the meeting.
  7. agreed that a logo looks better as something iconic - simple, looks good an a variety of sizes & colors. and it should reflect the site & our location. the fly bc site has a 3 color stylized mayfly with some haida art looking design in the wing pattern. simple. looks good on a sticker, hat, shirt. like the city skyline? rocky mountains? trout? trout food? gear? big ass pumpjack beside a clearcut stream bank [jk]? part of why the original doesn't always look good is it's a line drawing that doesn't scale well [no offence to the artist]. many of the preceeding ideas would have the same issue [again no offence meant]. and not everyone has a drift boat. suggest to do this right...hold an official re-design competition?
  8. i'll take a dozen!
  9. nicely done!
  10. what in the ****? what is with the ****ing auto detect spelling of swear word *hit? **** or should i say frak. that is very very gay. if you can figure that ****ing *hit out why the **** can't you auto fix some of the spelling, grammatical and [ahem] capitalization errors. for **** sakes.
  11. that was classic billy - thanks. seriously: back to the the logo? it's gay. it ranks up with this, and gets a big ****ing f. u couldn't pay me to wear a tshirt or hat with this logo. 'i've pissed patterns on snow that look more coherent than that'
  12. ah...it's supposed to start pissing rain there this week & next. much needed, conditions are looking like they could be awesome. maybe the gods of chrome will smile upon us. and there'll be big fatty chums to deal with too, and the odd red coho. hah. we'll see if they eat worms!
  13. it's goddam october and looks like january. i'm really really really busy at work so i don't have time for this halloween *hit so here's my jackolantern idea for this year oh by the way 9 sleeps and i'm singin' in the rain on the wet coast
  14. must admit when i saw forum and skin i was a little sad when i saw the actual post
  15. oh my they were kinda, um direct weren't they. thanx for the warning, i think i'll shut up and watch.
  16. as an ffc improvement suggestion to the mods: please add the following category to this site i see the drake board got that one right. [insert gay pokey-stick-thing]
  17. hey thanks for the drake plugs yall, it's worth a look don't know how i missed that one all this time...
  18. and i'll be goddammed if my neighbors think they are gonna start raising chicken(s) that'll crap all over my m5 beemer that's parked outside as my 3 car garage is full? what about a dairy cow...ya know, for fresh cream for my latte every morning? or a couple of sheep to keep the backyard putting green nice & short...and i can use the wool too as maybe i macrame my own jean shorts. sorry man, that's never gonna fly here, this is not the left coast. when i see the urban/community garden concept taking firm hold i'll believe there's a chance of seeing a a chicken coop in springbank, or lac bonav, or mnt royal....etc.
