Same as every year. I'm going to try to explore them hills a little more but as always i know the Bow will win and the hills will wait. I'm a sucker for fish that pull hard and are willing to entertain till 2 a.m.

1 simple goal catch my first fish in alberta on the fly that isn't from the bow river.

other thoughts include my first bull trout, fish the hills, and more than 10 days on the bow.

1- complete my first 'boo blank and rod- hopefully a second and third too

2- catch a good trout on a rod I built myself, a line I refinished myself, a leader I made myself and a fly I tied myself

3- spend more time on the Bow and less time driving to water

Mine are kind of like the rest of you. Get out to some smaller creeks more. Drift the Bow which I didn't get to last year. Hit some water to the north of Cowtown. Use my float tube. And just enjoy it all.

awesome, i can't wait to get there!

so i inherited a whole bunch of old tying kit and about $600 worth of materials...timely as i now have something new to keep me occupied.

and i guess therefore another obvious resolution would be to catch on my own flies.

With will and determination you will....in my case I was in hospital for awhile and that got me started but the urge was there for quite some time....now there is no urge at all; I can't stand the smell of the stuff anymore these days

1. encourage more folks to golf

2. convince all the city folks that the bears are big and nasty out in the west country

3. fish all summer (after my daughter's wedding the first of July)

4. start planning for my dream season of fishing when I retire in a few years

5. use my new SLR to take some great photos of friends fishing (and use them to make great Xmas cards and presents)

6. get out more in the fall

1. See Dad land his first Salmon and maybe hook a few more myself.

2. Fish with my boys more this year.

3. A big fresh October brown, thick water would help.
