Kamikaze Posted September 19, 2008 Share Posted September 19, 2008 Hi Folks, appreciate another knowledge sharing. I have a couple of hoppers that is made of foam. Some fisher man told me I don't need to put a floatant on it because these has closed air in them. Some said put as much as I can. I am confused? Which is truth? Can anybody answer? bigbowtrout Posted September 19, 2008 Share Posted September 19, 2008 I would just give it a go without first and watch what it does. if it stays on top then great but sometimes the foam can get water soaked so just sqeeze it dry and then try some floatant. SilverDoctor Posted September 20, 2008 Share Posted September 20, 2008 Doc's tip I spray all my dry flies and hoppers after I tie them with 3M Scotchguard. The stuff for waterproofing couches from spills. Water proofs the heck out of them. All flies do get water soaked after a few fish. Fish slime makes em sink.
