What Are They Doing On The Elbow Now?

Recommended Posts

Alberta Health Service posted a notice last Friday regarding contaminated water between 25 Av SE and 9 Av SE

http://www.albertahealthservices.ca/news/Page13290.aspx

City has placed signs warning people not to swim or wade along this stretch. Included water hazards on the sign are water quality, changing water levels, and broken glass/debris.

Possible reason for the drastic change in flows

The super high coliform levels are a direct result of the Stampede grounds, the horse barns are directly above the river just downstream from 25 Ave and the livestock exhibits on the grounds don't help much either. As for the high water levels they were filling up the reservoir, then the June monsoon happens in July and all this water comes rushing in so they open the floodgates. All this concern over low water levels earlier in the year is kind of a moot point now. How does that expression go? Oh ya, be careful what you wish for, it might come true.
