DonAndersen Posted July 11, 2016 Author Posted July 11, 2016 Uber, By your logic, guides can fish anywhere without concerning themselves with the law! They are private businesses are they not.? Don Quote
ÜberFly Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 The lake is private. Just like pond at calaway park, or pond on an acreage or community lake. Pay to play has it's privledges, I guess!! If a guide guides there they have to follow their specific rules/regs. If a guide, guides on public waterways must follow AB rules and regs (hopefully 😋). 1 Quote
DonAndersen Posted July 11, 2016 Author Posted July 11, 2016 Uber, The ponds were created by the lanowner damning up a terrace spring creek. The creek is illegal to fish till June 16. Nickel gets you six bits that there was no permit to stock trout or build the ponds And for a feeling of how the Waterton gets treated, have a walk up the Waterton from the bridge. Channelized for a long ways. Don Quote
ÜberFly Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Don, I guess that's something you need to take up with AEP, then!! Good luck! DonAndersen Posted July 11, 2016 Author Posted July 11, 2016 Uber, The Govt took a hike on the channelzation when it happened. They pondered action and took none. What a f.....king surprise. Useless bunch. Don Quote
bcubed Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 real question is, if you followed the creek all the way up, would it be trespassing if you never stepped out of the HWM? Quote
DonAndersen Posted July 12, 2016 Author Posted July 12, 2016 Bcube, It would be a fair hike. Don 1 Quote
DonAndersen Posted July 15, 2016 Author Posted July 15, 2016 Jay... A Bow River cigarette boat. Do you paint pics of sunk drift boats on the nose of the rocket? Don Quote
Jayhad Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Don, the paint isn't done yet, but I was going to have it painted in navy tiger stripe cameo, so it is hard to see for the wading anglers 1 Quote
Smitty Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 I'm sure Jayhad will rent it to you Don, though, the rumour is, he only takes deposits and payments in the form of custom made bamboo rods. Quote
