monger Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Do you recognize this southern AB fish? And it's not a Cuttbow because it has some orange on it. Good camera angle on a big fish 7 Quote
Dangus Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 The long arm showboat. Getting real tired of "creative" shots on wide angle lenses making fish looking artificially large. Not saying that's not a big fish. But it looks like it's a taimen. Quote
Swede Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Ok monger i expect a full report the next day that you don`t go fishing. Man that thing is huge, how long was it . You can tell by his fingers that fish is big no camera tricks there 1 Quote
monger Posted June 29, 2016 Author Posted June 29, 2016 I wasn't there. Looking for info on the picture. Pretty sure it is pay to play fish Quote
Swede Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Ya I thought the same the instant i seen the picture, Palmer fish. Quote
monger Posted June 29, 2016 Author Posted June 29, 2016 Valid point Bron. Good "style" points though I'm gonna have to trade in my cheap little point and shoot camera Quote
dryfly Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Palmer http://albertaflyfishingcnp.blogspot.ca/2010_05_01_archive.html Quote
bloom Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 I know that fish....I think we made acquaintances about a month ago. Quote
bowbonehead Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 Yes that's from the upper pond judging from the background, haven't been down since 2 years ago myself Quote
Conor Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 It is photoshopped. Based on the guys hands in relation to the fish, it is stupid big. I'd guess at least 3-4 times larger than the Palmer pic Clive linked to. And that is probably a double digit Palmer fish. We just don't grow them like that here. Also, I'm not sure a fish that age would have any slashing still. 1 Quote
fishonjon Posted October 29, 2016 Posted October 29, 2016 A Palmer fish forsure I have seen the actual photo from a guy I work with!! Quote
