Vitalshok Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Thank you I just got asked about that 5 mins ago. Quote
jgib01 Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Now, I just need to remember to take my old one out and put the new one in. The nice feature of the pdf version is that you can make a couple of copies for each wallet/hat/vest/wader you might use. Quote
keet Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Too bad they are not same size as driver license to allow them to get laminated and still fit in wallet better. 1 Quote
jasonvilly Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Better than the BC license... When you add all of the classified waters license it quickly becomes a novel in your pocket. 3 Quote

Dangus Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Just put it on your phone.... Plus the bc licenses update when you add a cw and you can just print a new one and throw the old one away. Quote
ÜberFly Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Ummm.... If you are referring to an AB licence, no can do!! Has to be a hard copy!! Just put it on your phone.... 3 Quote
scel Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Ummm.... If you are referring to an AB licence, no can do!! Has to be a hard copy!! I got a ticket for not having my license. I had a copy on my phone, but it was not signed. The F&W officer said it would have been OK if I had signed it. It is still safest to keep a hard copy. 1 Quote
Dangus Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 You can sign it using markup on your iPhone. There's no reason to say you have to have a physical copy if they're willing to sell it to you electronically. 1 Quote

Crowsnest Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Your vehicle license, registration and Passport are the same, I was once almost barred from entering a foreign country because I hadn't signed my passport. Quote
ÜberFly Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I've been told by a CO that it MUST be a hard copy!! Quote
Dangus Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Ok fine, I can agree sure sign it I guess, nbd. But hard copy when it's issued digitally? What's the rationale? Quote
ÜberFly Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Technically it's not issued digitally!! It can be saved as a PDF so that it can be printed/reprinted, is my understanding. Quote
Dangus Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I'm emailing them to see. The principle is killing me. Quote

Even if digital is ok I'm still printing it and carrying that with me. Had my cell phone die on me way too many times out fishing. 1 Quote
BBBrownie Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 I've had my electronic license on my phone accepted in both AB and BC, no quetions asked. I was told by the CO that it is acceptible although risky in case my phone dies. 1 Quote

scel Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 I've been told by a CO that it MUST be a hard copy!! Yeah, I believe you. I have heard that too. My CO was a young guy---he really stressed the signature---I had my WIN card with me so he could verify that I had a license. Times are changing; there is likely a myriad of opinions and inconsistencies. That is why it is best to carry a hardcopy. Quote
