What would be a good stonefly nymph pattern try, in particular to the bow. Im mostly looking for some good colors and sizes. I have tried some stoneflys before but haven't had much success on them. And my first guess was that it either wasn't the right color or size. So what are some good ones?

Thanks

I have had some success on a Kaufmann stone pattern, and have heard Jimmy Legs produce pretty well in the Bow as well. I haven't tied them myself yet, but a quick google search produces some how tos on tieing them.

Agreed on jimmy legs for golden stones... Size 6 in the varigated chenille with a good amount of weight to get down. I like olive & brown as well as yellow & brown. Cheap and super easy to tie. Can't go wrong!

I've also used the orange jimmy legs, in early July, to target October Caddis larvae that migrate to the fast spill water for their final instar, with phenomenal sucess.
