jpinkster Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Hurray for firsts! Caught my first pike on the Bow a week ago also at police (not trying to steal your thunder!): I've been talking to quite a few seasoned Bow anglers and they know that pike like these are in the river, just not used to seeing them this far upstream. bcubed Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Lots of pike come out of Pine Creek, which flows in just upstream of Policemens. Always lots of pike in that area Quote

troutlover Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 My buddy caught one on the bow last year that could swallow a young child I think I posted a pic of it last year Quote
fishinglibin Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 TL, I think it was on Bow Conditions 2013 if I recall, and yes it could. Quote
blinktwice Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Im new to fly fishing...thought bow river is closed until June 1? Quote
fishinglibin Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Read the regulations. Parts are open all year and parts have closed time. You don't want the fish boys to see you fishing closed water. Quote
blinktwice Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 I just searched them up afterwards ! I had troubles understanding the different parts and so forth...im very new to the rules and so forth. Quote
mkm Posted April 23, 2014 Author Posted April 23, 2014 PS: Is that fish missing an eye? Yes the pike was missing an eye...same one??? Quote
jpinkster Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Yes the pike was missing an eye...same one??? No sir, mine was more or less intact. Quote
