shredneck Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Looks like someone has a mule tag....... Quote
SanJuanWorm Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 I want to learn to hunt. Nice pic. Quote
monger Posted November 15, 2013 Author Posted November 15, 2013 Hunting is just like finding those big browns sipping dries. Move carefully and watch everything, but you often should pay attention to wind direction. You already know how to hunt down walleye in a lake...you are a PRO at that already. Sometimes you get great surprises when hunting...like a chance at something unique (color mutant pheasant) 2 Quote
shredneck Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 He's in the freezer MIne's in the freezer as well, however one more look for elk then a bull moose tag to fill....aaaaannnd there's always a chance a nice whitetail will pop up in there somewhere. Quote
SanJuanWorm Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 I think next year. I'll have to go hunt with a buddy to learn. I'd love to bird hunt. Quote

shredneck Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Hey shred did you get a nice Mule buck? Nah, I helped my bud get his nice 4x5. I'm up next year. Saw some real crankers out there, more mature bucks then we've ever seen the area we hunt. How's yours? Quote
SilverDoctor Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I didn't go out this year but received a couple of pheasants from a friend. Quote
BigFoamy Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 nice roosters! he is pretty dark eh!!! Quote
monger Posted November 18, 2013 Author Posted November 18, 2013 Shred, my buck was OK. Should have been more patient but a really neat opportunity arose to take him in his bed over-looking 3 cliffs. I made a good shot and harvested a decent buck. It would be wrong to complain when you get blessed 2 Quote
monger Posted November 18, 2013 Author Posted November 18, 2013 Lornce, there is one more in the freezer for you. I think I'll keep the mutant and try to make some new fly inventions this winter. Might get out for a few more late season roosters before the month ends Quote
shredneck Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Good job!! It's hard to pass up a perfect opportunity. I ended up with a fine whitetail while looking for a bull moose. He has a few broken tines which subtracts from his inches but adds in his character. Quote
monger Posted December 3, 2013 Author Posted December 3, 2013 Awesome...sounds like he was a scrapper Quote
