bowbonehead
Thumbs up on the springer I had one for 15 years who was great in the boat from 3 months old and loved to fish....miss him a lot
BBBrownie
Hopefully a great dog for you. Mine is a similar mix - used to look a lot like river, maybe a bit bigger though- a lot of the black eventually turns into white though! He turned 10 in December and is one of the smartest, most athletic dogs around. Just demands a LOOTT of exercise...still!
fishinglibin
I had a bull mastiff, but you would need one with no legs for a mid size.
Caddis
My guy is a black lab / shepherd cross, heavy on the lab. I fish a lot on my own, so for an ever ready fishin' buddy and my wife's peace of mind , she surprised me with him. Don't know what I would do without him now. RedBeard
Nice work on picking him up from the pound. He's going to be a great companion. I'll say hi if I see you guys on the river together!
