Okay, have to ask, when you drive west out of Calgary and hit the Petro Canada station on the right side by higway 22 what are all the cars parked on the side of he secondary road?

It's used for car pooling a lot. When snowboarding I've met people there many of times. Thats the only thing I can think off

i think there is a bus that takes people to work in the city. that is meeting place i believe

Haha ya i've always wondered that too... I figured in the winter it was just people car pooling to the mountains but theres just too many people there all days and all seasons. It's gotta be a bus taking people into the city.

there are also workers commuting/car pooling from CGY to Banff/Canmore

That's a common meeting place for people going hiking or skiing depending on the season. And also for workers heading west and there is a bus that drops and picks up there so a variety of reasons. I have noticed that the amount of cars does decrease when the weather is poor, and in the shoulder seasons.
