Very nice!!!...

Have my two awesome daughters for the weekend, All I heard from Bree (The oldest, 9 years old) all morning was "Dad are we going to Bullshead today"...I would reply with...''Well deer, you forgot to bring your wind/rain proof jacket from Your moms (in Calgary) and I know its pretty nasty out at the lake today"...Well it didn't matter, she wanted to go, so we did. My youngest wanted to visit with Grandma for the day, so that worked out...Well it was damn windy at the lake, but that didn't stop her, she wanted to fish...This is her 3rd year with a flyrod, and has been fishin since she was 3...I cast out for her, and she does the rest...The flycasting is the next step, but shure she will pick it up quick, as she has picked up the hook set and playing the fish real fast...And learned on the good sized Bullshead Bows...Bree had 3 fish on and got 2 to hand in the hour or so we were there. Then the wind just got to be too much!!...The one fish was a real good one, but didn't want to co-operate for a picture....Very proud!!! ...Ran into Randy S out there today, and he was doing very well too.. Cheers...Jeff.. Palms the reel very well...There is a huge grin behind all that wind blown hair...LOL..

Just heard on the News, Pincher and area could get up to another 100mm of rain again today!... Hope it fairs out, and it doesn't flood... .. Jeff...

Just heard on the news, Pincher, Cardston and Waterton could get up to 50mm by the end of the day!...Anyone want to go fish the Crow??.. .. They were talking about possible flooding in the area as well...Hope that wont be the case for any of you locals...Or Anyone for that matter... Jeff...

Great Idea...

I wore out my Orvis after using it for 4 years, sent it in and they sent me a new one, sent me the next model up since the other model was discontinued...After having it for less than two weeks It got slammed in the truck door with the help of the wind, breaking the 3rd section from the top...Sent it in, and in less than 3 weeks they had sent another brand new rod, new case and Ferrel wax aswell...WOW...Impressed...Cost me a Little less than 30 dollars both times to send it UPS...Pretty happy with Orvis....

With you catching that Brookie...That would be the 5th brookie that I have heard of being caught this spring from Bullshead...One guy I know caught one about 18 inches and he said it was around 3lbs and said it was very healthy....The people that I have talked to about these Brooks being caught said " there was no mistaking them, they were Brook trout" 2 of the people That caught the Brooks I know fairly well and they know their trout...I asked the stocking technicians about it, and they said there is no way the Brooks could get mixed in with the Bows at the hatchery...Maybe they are getting into the water systems from Spruce coulee???...There is a creek runs into B.H. at the east end of the lake...But not sure of its origin...As far as crossed lookin Bows, I havent seen any that look like that as of yet...
