  1. ahh, fishing between the ceremony and the photos then again before and after dinner. we'll drop by for the open bar
  2. sure am, did i happen to mention that at some point. hummm, must have. lol well i know there are at least 2 videos. and some flesh after many, many, many, many drinks...
  3. so what was the final. and what was the wardrobe malfunction at half time, heard something about lenny's butt bared for the masses... or something
  4. off topic again? i dont think this ever was on topic. i understood the topic, just wasnt sure how the first post related. guess i'm not so religious... damn pegans and their pegan rituals dancing naked in the firelight around the fire after copious drinks to sooth the pegan gods... no wait, that was my last camping trip
  5. i'm with dustin. Lynn, the bears dont hang out around the castle and syncline area. to find them you either have to head towards the west castle falls, castle mountaint or way up on the other ridge and valley at the far end of the Lost. i havent even seen one on the Lynx. but dustin is right, just at the castle camp ground there is a great pool with bullies in it. you could almost fall out of the tent and in to the river with your rod
  6. anyone can run faster than me, but i play dirty. actually there are 2 Hawg, the lost and the suicide. i havent done either but i know where they join the carbondale and the gardner. also the far end of the gardner past the ball diamonds is fantastic too. if you like small, and i do mean small streams. i dont have anymore vacation time left for next year. so i would have to come down friday night after work and head back sunday night.
  7. hey greg, shouldnt that be damn you ice - melt in hell? just a thought hey when we doing the FFC ice fishing not so much derby more like ice fishing and drinking thing..? auger is sharp, gear is ready.
  8. that's the beauty of the castle area. at syncline you are 2 min from 3 streams, 20min from 7 more streams and 30 -45 min to the crow, OM at lundbrek (sp) and the gap. if you felt like driving you could take the back road up to blairmore and hit vicary, racehorse, dutch and the livingstone with 30 or 40 people, you could spread out and only put 2 or 3 people on a stream. we wouldnt be over crowding at all. choice of browns, bulls, cutties and rainbows. river pike if you know anyone over at the brocket reserves. plus you have beaver mines lake 5 min away and lees lake 15 min away for the stillwater guys what about starting on a thursday and going through the weekend since it seems to be a 50% 50% split at the moment.
  9. syncline is on the 774 to castle mountain just past beaver mines - so like 15 min for beer and supplies. yes there are group campsites. i think guito posted a link yes there are treed spots and right on the castle
  10. i'm still for the carbondale, castle area. most people are ATVers not fishers and there are lots of places to go with few people and still close to the OM and Crow
  11. brent., if we end up at syncline, i will take you to a few places that almost never see people. bring your bear spray. i know the rivers down there quite well
  12. i would give it a try. be patient with the ol' broad tho, i'm not a big fan of hills.
  13. happy birthday Darren let us know how the steak 'in darren's tent' goes
  14. personally i would vote for syncline. close to my favourite spots to fish
  15. waddington tube fly here are the 2 sbs
  16. ha, those are great pics. love the little one in your hand, second from the bottom on the right.
  17. oh, those things, take a look at the uk site. there was a SBS with one of those. or look in the salmon fly pictures. i cant remember exactly where it was.
  18. not with tubes but i did a bunch of flies for a friend of mine with the fireline and the stinger, i just snipped off the other hook because the streamers were 8 inches or so
  19. they would be cool stickers
  20. lol. yeah, you were pretty gooned when i was talking to you during the auction. that was funny. i'm glad your neighbour drove you home. you and me both for that rod. sigh. there was some nice stuff
  21. the change to the tail is close enough. although the logo might not be overly noticeable on a hat, you can make the writing stand out more, a little bolder or a contrasting colour.
  22. well that came out of left field. i can take a year off of learning more dries. i havent done a lot of nymph tying. so it doesnt matter to me. pssst, tell sean i'm a dry fly girl
  23. depends on where you go Hawg, the ball diamonds at the far end of the carbondalehall road on the gardner are a zoo but tons of room and might not be too bad at the begining of the season, and down towards the adanack can be busy and same with castle campground but the lynx is usually quiet. i've fished days on the lynx and not seen a soul. the castle can be a zoo. why dont we help out clive and pick some weeds on a non-long weekend, everyone is close to the oldman and crow but i would probably head into the carbondale area. worth the drive. right dustin
  24. better, the right arm is still bigger than the left. fish looks good
  25. now that is nice and easy. i very much like that. i may have to do a few of those at my next hook & hackle meeting.
