I don't think that this arshole realizes how far down hill this runs and how many peaple will be out of a job. Encana said they will stop drilling witch means i'm out of a job. Most companies i heard will go to Sask or just fold up. Hope he wasn't planning on a second term cause i he did he's fooked. Greedy b@stard. Some of these oil companies are allready paying millions of dollars to the gov and he wants more. At least houses will be cheap to buy soon.

I'm with you Glenbow. Thank you to all the guys who run this site a make it as great as it is. Only wish i could have met more of ya at the clean-up. Only met Toolman and i'll try not to judge the rest of ya by him............Just kidding...... Also thanks to every member on this board who has helped me and made me laugh. Haven't met many peaple on the river but if they are not on the site i sure let them know about it. Lastly a special thanks to LK2 who chatted with me on the river and told me about this site. I have made some friends that i think will last a long time.

5wt tfo and a 6wt. luv the 5. great fun to fight with but it's nice to have the 6 when the wind is a blowin. But it's hardly ever windy here right? 5wt won't fit in my rod holder on the pontoon boat though, so i have to use the 6 when i float.

I don't agree with the no day-care post. It's not that easy to just have the wife up and quit her job to stay home. Most peaple were not debt free when they had kids and only have a cell phone and a new car to pay for. We both make good money and we would be giving up alot more than our phones if she quit. To start our house, with the cost of a house here how many peaple could pay a 1100-2000$ morgage on there own. No more family vacations for another thing. My kids are 6&7 and we pay full fare for them to be on a plane. Not Cheap. As i was born in 1970 i to fall into alot of the things mentioned in the original post and it was great times. Both parents smoking in the car with the windows up in the middle of winter, no seat belts. (still couphing up smoke from those days). I also had the luxary of having a stay at home mom. Would i like to tell my wife to just up and quit. Hell ya, but no way it can happen. Wouldn't be able to pay for kids sports, field trips, none of it. We have to pay 250$ each kid just to have them stay at school for lunch. JEEEZuz, at there desk no less. no microwave, nothin, jsut for supervision. I'm sure my folks didn't have that. Maybe if the govermant would help out with daycare it would be possible for her to work alot less. I'm not sure how you can critisize peaple for using daycare when you have no kids. Mine are there 2-3 hours a day and i don't think it is hurting them. She only has 5 kids there and they are not allowed to watch TV. We use daycare to allow both of us to work so that our kids can get the best things in life. You went to daycare, how bad did you turn out?

Went out to fish creek a couple of day's ago but didn't have time to post. Two fish 18 inch's and about 6 that were 10-12. Was a good night all in all considering i was only there for about 2 hours. Met headscan down there so that was nice to meet someonr new from the forum. Congrats pd. nice fish for your first couple. Let me know aslo if you ever want to go down. I'm usually down at the river 2-3 times a week.(don't tell the wife, she thinks i'm workin). Would be happy to show you a couple of nice spots and help with the knots if you still need it by then. If you pm me i can give you my cell or something and we can set something up. Gezz, great post rick, I'm with rick. Nymphing is a good way to get into your first couple of fish. San Juan and a bead head prince below was working excellent yesterday. Let some of us know when you are going down and we can meet up with ya. I'm not a pro but i have listened to the guys on here and they have really helped me.
