I'm having trouble keping my split shot from sliding down. Is there a certain way to do this? I worry that if i pinch it to hard it will weaken the tippet. I tried that soft putty lead stuff but it doesn,t seem to want to stay on for me. Any suggestons? Ed

I see alot of golf balls as well. I was fishing across from the mackenzie the other day and splash...right in my spot. Came close to hitting me. Guys are just teeing them up and driving them into the river. I have also camped overnight across from Cottonwood and there are alot of balls there as well. If you want me to collect as well let me know. I would be happy to donate. As golf is my second passion i hate to see these balls floating down the river. I try to pack out as much garbage as i can but there is only so much you can carry. hopefully i find a pontoon boat on the side of the river soon. Ed

geez...those are some nice fish. I must be losing alot of clarity when i shrink my pictures. They don't look nearly that nice and i'm using the same camera as some of you. Great job. Still can't get more than one pic on a post though.

I saw a guy down at 22x on the golf course side with 2 rods in the water. That's not allowed is it? He had bells on them but no way to tell if he was using maggots. Was going to call it in but didn't have the #.....now i do.

Ya..i was going to ask from reading the other posts about boatmen do you want a floating or a sinking? I guess you can do both at the same time. Should i be fishing those in deep water, shallow, close to shore. Also are they just called boatmen at the fly shops or is there another name?

When you are using a hopper do you need to put floatant on it or should you. I would asume that with the foam one you don't want to. Not sure. Ed

The guy i talked to said it was because it was like deerfoot 2 inthe park. I asked if there was a way to block it so that peaple couldn't cut across to Deer run and he said no. I'm sure going to miss it. Driving down to Bow Bottom is a real pain in the @ss. Whe nwe gonna hit the river Brent?

I was at the river yesterday and was talking to a guy(I don't if he was with fish creek or the construction company) and he told me that the old entrance will be open on Monday because paving is done and the exsisting entrance will be closed. Thought it might save some guys a little bit of driving. Sucks for me.....adds 15mins drivin to get to the river. Who am i kiddin i would walk 20 miles to go to the river BEEEEYAAAAAH. EdB

Fishing was great, will put a pic on later. Raining pretty hard though. Los of risers. When your standing in the water what's a little rain though eh.....Found out my waders have a small leak in the ass so i was allready wet.

I got my pentex optio at future shop in shawnessy 300$. Best buy has them as well. Future shop has 2or 3 other models to choose from. Pentex was the cheapest.
