  2. you guys kill me. It's like you miss all the action from the no-show thread and started to a new one to bash each other. Who needs a hug? I can feel the love. Birchy, i luv you man....Glenbow.same. Toolman, ah never mind. Mac is a nice place to fish though Birchy. Have landed some real nice ones there. Don't give up on it. ED
  3. You can take the short cut if you turn right after the big overhaed power lines. Range road 274 i think. Is the first left after the power lines then is is straight to the river.
  4. Here are my animals. Not babies anymore. I guess some of you have allready them at the BBQ. They don't smell good, they mouth off and they never listen. Enjoy your babies fellas, soon they will talk and then its all over.lol Pics from Cancun last year

    The Big One

Here's my problem, all i seem to catch lately is small trout 7-8 inch's. I allways thought that if there are small ones there, there should be big ones as well. Then Tollman said at the demo that small fish and big fish are not at the same place because the big ones will eat them. So what am i doing wrong? Is it a matter of reading the water as to where the big ones should be or is it my fly? Different size or something? I'm fishing in spots where i think that there should be big ones but still only catch little ones. I hear you guys talking about your 19-20 inchers and i want to poke my eyes out. Would give a testie for one that big these days. I have caught lots of big fish in the past but i think i'm doing something wrong. Any suggestions or advise. I need a jedi master to show me how to use the force. matbe need to go out with some of you real experienced guys for a trip and watch how you do it. Thank's Ed

  10. why don't i run into fishergirls like this on the river? http://flyfishcomvideo.magnify.net/item/7M2219GN7W7SZVF7 I like the tune as well
  11. I agree. It was great to put some faces to the names(thank heaven for those name tags) I met alot of great peaple and got to pick toolmans brain for half an hour. Thanks to all that organized and helped out. Also kudoos to Brownee for staying all night being the only lady there with 30 dudes. My kids are still talking about you. Can't wait till next year. Ed and i also after 9 years of marriage am a master of my own domain.
  12. Well i'll have to check some of these out. As for MTB statement about not seeing the fish cause i'm new i agree with that but i also find them usefull just for seeing the bottom of the river to make wading a little easier and as you say eye protection is very important as well. MTB i will go with you anytime and anywhere, would love to hit the river with you.
  13. Have a question for ya all. Do you think that there is a difference between say a 40$ pair of glasses and a 200$ pair of polarized glasses? Does it make a dif in what you can see in the water or is it just a style and comfort thing? Tried LK2's glasses and they didn't seem much different than mine. Not to sure what he payed for his but mine are Crappy Tire brand. Give me your opinion.
  14. Thanks for the coffee out the nose birchy. that was great!
  15. Wow........could you imagine coming across one of those in the water?
  16. No digity... I get to stop by Carsland and Mack on my way home every day if i want. Start early 6-7 ish and if we do only one well we are done by 11. GONE FISHIN...pick up the kids at 4 and the wife never knows.
  17. I work for Calfrac Well Services and we are going strong. I work every day. I run an N2 pump and we work for Encana out of Strathmore. The bases in Red Deer and GP seem to be doing fine as well. Medicine Hat has so much work on the block (Suffield), that i'm not sure it would ever slow down. I think that we are the only service company that didn't lay off during break-up. Tri-can seems to be doing alot of work in our area as well. We are even hiring in the cement department because they are so busy. I know they have had to dicount there prices alot because the other companies are not working so they will bid anything. That's costing me bonus money which is no good.
  18. Sweet. i live on Sundance lake and i'm pretty sure there is no fish like that in it.
  19. Yezussss. What lake is that? Great fish man.
  20. That's one of the best shots i've seen. Slim chance of gettin a shot of a jumping monster like that. GJ.
  21. Do any of you guy's with pontoon boats have any good recamodations about life jackets that are good for floating. Not to restrictive for casting kind of thing.
