  1. Floated from the weir to Glenmore today and saw a handful of dead rainbows in that stretch too. At least we are supposed to be getting some rain and cooler temperatures this week.
  2. Cool looking tie.
  3. Lead is banned in National Parks, but for now you can still use it in Alberta waters.
  4. Nice to see you got something on the fly, sounds like a blast. I really like that first pic.
  5. Nice report. Are you catching any on the fly?
  6. I really enjoyed the John Fogerty concert last weekend, its right up there for me. The Hip always put on a good show and U2 in 1997 was pretty good too. For a smaller venue, The Hugh Dillon Redemption Choir (former lead singer of The Headstones) two years ago in Edmonton. Not a really well known guy but he has an incredible stage presence and has to be the coolest MOFO to ever walk the face of the earth. You have to love a lead singer who will actually reach into the crowd and smack people upside the head when they start acting like idiots.
  7. Don't just focus on NZ and forget about the fishing in Australia. This site should be a good start: http://www.flylife.com.au/ Also if you have not already read it "Wooly Worms and Wombats" was a pretty entertaing book with lots about the flyfishing in Australia. It was written by the same guy that wrote "Due North Of Montana". Have fun on your trip, I'm jealous.
  8. Jim Cuddy was really good too although his set was pretty short. Mostly played his solo stuff but he did do an extended version of Five Days In May that was pretty cool.
  9. Nice report and pics. You know its been a scorching summer when a +25 day is relief.
  10. Sorry, wrong section. I was admiring all the photo reports before I posted and forgot to click on general chat.
  11. Anyone else go to the concert last night? I thought it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. The guy can still rock and he had the whole placed pumped the entire night. Great show.
  12. Nice post. Did your kids catch any as well? Nothing compares to seeing a kid getting into their first fish.
  13. I'll be your huckleberry.
  14. I think thats been discussed here before, but do we really need to see bigbowtrout's mom getting into position for the SanJuan shuffle?
  15. I think I hear that almost every day on Jim Rome, but thats the first time I've seen Chappelle's impression. Beeeyaaahh!
  16. Great report. I'm hoping to make it up there myself in a few weeks.
  17. What about that huge treehouse? I thought the maximum stay was 14 days and there were no permanent structures allowed. How long has that thing been there now? It's getting pretty ridiculous up there again.
  18. It's always stood out in my mind as well. I enjoyed his books but I never really agreed with his postion on bulls. Now what do I win?
  19. Due North of Montana
  20. I've got the same thing. I thought it was only me though.
  21. Nice tie Doc.
  22. Nice report, sounds like a good time.
  23. Just got back from several days in BC. Most streams were fishable on opening day but conditions definately got better the further west I went. Michel and Alexander were pretty high and dirty. Probably a couple more weeks. The Elk was starting to look good late last week but dirtied up again with all the recent rain. It was fishable on opening day but not really worth it for the CW license (still a little high and off color). Dirtied up again today with all the rain. Should be getting in shape very soon. The St. Mary and Bull were both still a little high but crystal clear and very fishable. Many smaller streams were in pretty good shape too, conditions get steadily better the further west you go.
  24. This is the nicest one I've caught.
  25. Great job man.
