  1. even if i lived in a lake i would still have the same opinion.. like i said. why jeopradize awsome fishing for some stocked fish fishin.. i dont care if tehre taimen size(well maybe sorta) but even fish up to 5lbs aint worth is IMHO jsut a waiste. sepcially with all those otehr sources u menitoned above rick using the water aswell....
  2. 9 mo n we at 2 thou yo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dave what u got too give away... quad avi perhaps? i will take ur house no prob! hell just lemmie live in ur garage!
  3. jeebus! well curt still played great.. should give ihm more chances in net if kip keeps up the half assed play
  4. sounda dope dryfly! will see ya there! dude use a flashlight in a dark room. way better and no worries of bending your shower curtain!
  5. that is messed up... if the lakes cannot hold water they shouldnt be there IMHO why in hte hell would u want too drain a valued water source like the bow so some stock fish can survive.. freakin stupid! if the lake can hold water im kinda fine with a onetime fill but if levels are dropping 365 and she is always being pumped in via waterfountain, waterfall or some other pumpin sorunce that bugs me!
  6. like i said 10 pages or whatever back. DONT GIVE GOLIES BIG OMEY LONGTERM they get comfortable.. curtis has bin playing pretty good tonight.. should keep him in net till he loses IMHO if they make it out wiht a win tonight! even if its a game or two and give him another go later in teh month 4 or so gamese from now typa deal..
  7. but that is a tough job and a skilled job eddy! thinking about making fly reels flytyer?
  8. that is a pretty sweet lokin fly darbles! i like too fish a green/yellow blend with a cdc post n thats it! on teh crow...... them fish can be hells picky at times thats forsure! had a hell of a time a few weeks back when htey were eating midges..wouldnt even get a sniff at first but it seemed teh more dubbing and thread i chewed off the fly the more they started too finally look at it then finally a fish ate it.. biot bodies are also deadly on teh crow for the picky slurpers
  9. so no rebuttal? scared that i may be right? CHECK MATE?

    November Pics.

awsome pics and report dude! thanks for posting!
  13. dude they are fishing 4 hour sessions when i refer too fatigue i am meaning a full days fishin so IMHO comp. agnling aint nothing like recreation the use of the gear is totally different. i htink some of those guys competing probably have the science figured out yes but its more the entemology, flies and rigs they use that get them the win not the long rod. they wanted too reach further and fish faster i would assume so thati s why they would be using a longer stick but in practical/more effective fishing situations i jstu dont see it being a practical way too fish. i know u are obsessed with they spey i think we all get it but keep on hyping it too teh fullest if u think u are swaying anyone too buy it and use it 100% of the time.. also when someone has a different opinion its probably better too listen and maybe learn something(u dotn halfto adopt the idea or stick with theres but well roundded skills and knowledge is better not one sided conservative BS) ratehr than jstu say hells no right off the bat like u always do. hell if it aint your way its the highway and personally i think that is a freakin joke. how many times did we argue over something and u said no way then a week later after u thought about it and researched it u learned I WAS RIGHT and now its YOUR idea... come on dude this *hit is getting old..... and one last thing.. since u like "challenges" give it a go i dare ya. fish a single hander all day highsticking and then do it with the spey and tell me wich is more fatiguing, has greater control, is less awkward too fish with and has better sensetivity..... i personally have tried WAY more *hit than you i freakin know it and always test my theories.. so prove me wrong rather than hoping on some bandwagon reppin it and acting like u are the "king of whatever"
  14. lmao classic story dude..... i wish darwin awas around! according too your picture tho u should have asked for a vacuum bottle perhaps?
  15. mainly the bow... did some lake fishing too on a few spots and had a 60 40 opinion wiht it.. goo for bombing streamers FAR but thats about it and i was mainly surf casting, gave it a go on some bull streams (most of them its not worth it in tight spots, smaller streams etc.... too bulky! but theres a few spots i will fish it fow bulls n pike forsure! but u gotta test teh theory right! getting a 7'6" 9wt instead for the tight spots!)
  16. i dont roll cast and dont tangle much either.. it could be technique. leaders or something else. but if the loops are collapsing on you mid flight it might be a better idea too stop a little storter and force it too straighten out isnt this about indicators? whats with all the highstick/non indi fishing techniques listed above.. personally i still feel a sinlge handed rod is better for this aswell. i find i have better control, feel the strikes easier(more sensative) fatigue less aswell and dont fumble with the rod as much. so IMHO its way better aswell.. i only use my spey for teh distance game. inclose it dosnt compare i feel a spey is good for presenting nymph rigs at distance but when i am fishing indicators, hoppers dropper intight highsticking etc i find i need less back casting room, have far better line control, dont fatigue as much (compared too fishing a spey with one hand) and get a quicker hookset because i have less rod too move. lighter weighted line etc..
  17. that is cool! gotta give that a go!
  18. gotta track me down a xt running line or two... sounds like its worth a shot! now back too teh topic.. who else is all crooked with there double handed fishing and lobs out indicators?
  19. yea i agree with TM on taht one.. still got my box from last year and teh 30lb use too be onrange.. this years colors must be different...
  20. its hard soo say about the running line dude im using teh airflow 30lb floating.. havnt had any problems.. didnt like slick shooter.. found it was sinking a touch and gave too much line resistance.... maybe 20 lb would be a good answer or try teh sharkskin stuff...
  21. ROFL that is freakin hilarious.... people suck!
  22. i found that the poly jstu makes a longer more suple tip.... imho.. makes it harder for better/stronger turnover....... but if u chop a 10 foot poly u will have the meet of teh poly if u use the back half.... so it might help some..... i cutt a few feet off of my scandi head too get a stronger turnover... also helps too shoot your loop high so it has time too open up and straighten out before hitting the water...
  23. u got 2 hands on teh rod hit em harder~! anotehr trick would be keep less slack in the line.. get a good mend but dont keep a ton of slack or allow your line too belly while in teh dead drift. i have found taht the spey lines are traditinally ment for swinging to they do no tride as high as some refular floating single handed lines so line control can be key!
  24. lmao! this topic makes me laugh.. hell the only reason i picked up the spey rod last year and started tossing it on teh bow was too toss indicator rigs way out there and fish em.. steeleheading atlantic salmon and stuff too in the future but it was the idea of fishing nymphs way out that got me going... i do enjoy swinging and now love swinging flies too streamers n nymphs.. but i love indi fishin wiht my spey...... i dotn care if its not normal or traditional. i have a few friend who are against it and that is fine. i fish the way i like too fish and hope others do teh same wether it be the same or different.... i fish a loop goran andersson 6120 wiht a rio afs head i cut back a few feet off the tip.. i use my same nimpy set up after that only difference is the rod and line...
