  1. I had a chance to grab some goodies from the "Bullie Love Kit" two summers ago at Racehorse campground. SJW's neighbour was there and brought it along with him. Hell I shoulda kidnapped it and held it for ransom!!
  2. [ For example a Tom Thumb seems to get more productive as it is pulled apart by fish taking it. . Good advice. I usually put a new one on when they are mangled. I'll try that approach next time.
  3. Believe it or not..But the Fishin' Hole also carries Simms https://server21.lfchosting.com/TFH1982/ind...=08&ALL=ALL https://server21.lfchosting.com/TFH1982/ind...=08&ALL=ALL
  4. Don Andersen will know!
  5. Shriners Temple in Bowness is nice. Wedding overlooking the lagoon and reception in the hall, or the Readers cafe just south of the Stampede grounds. Very nice!
  6. Unfotunately Lynn we are in a disposable world. If you buy any electronic gizmos (TV's, DVD players etc) under $350 the repair bill is usually more than the purchase price. Perhaps buying the optional extended warranty at purchase is not a bad idea......Hmmmmm. Go to the "The Camera Store" on 11 Ave and 7th St SW and look around. They have great cameras and great service. They know their SH**!
  7. It's not really fair for fans to have high expectations for a team that has won 3 playoff series since 1989. They just happened to be all in a row.
  8. The Leafs are a joke from the President to the Zamboni driver!! Did you see the Zamboni driver tonite!
  9. FYI to all bandwagon Flames Fans...The Flames were around before 2003...I know ..I checked!!!
  10. ....and a real winner! OOOPs!
  11. I got a cheap, small tripod that extends to about 4ft at Walmart for $20. It comes in a small bag and easily fits in the back of a vest. It works great. Go to the Photo Dept at the front of the store.
  12. I voted for the Gap area but I have never fished south of the Crow. I am always interested in new areas..Where and what is Syncline?
  13. I am not a Rider fan but I am a "Rider fan" fan. Congrats to all you die hard Rider fans out there!! You deserve it!
  14. Lynn there are two types of beer... (1) Good beer (2) Free beer Carlsberg was the latter and I wasn't really savouring every drop as it flew down my throat in milliseconds!!!
  15. Here's my record for a "beer" bong...2 x 1/2 litre cans of Strongbow cider=1 litre...a can of Carlsberg which filled the funnel/bong and finish with a shot of Jagermeister! http://s126.photobucket.com/albums/p104/bi...nt=HPIM0336.flv And how not to drink a beer bong! http://s126.photobucket.com/albums/p104/bi...nt=HPIM0338.flv
  16. Let's do it! As a frormer beer rep I might be able to get us some free beer.
  17. It is not a safety valve...More like an unsafe valve....Come ...I'll show you the way
  18. Shotgunning and beer bongs.......................no wagering! P.S. Did you beat the girl?
  19. I have organized quite a few group camping events and I have a good checklist if you need any advice. Perhaps an organizational meeting prior at the Rose & Crown?
  20. I have Sunday, Monday Tuesdays off so of course those days would be perfect for me but I can pretty well go anytime.
  21. I also think that sowewhere in the Forest Reserve around the Upper Oldman, Racehorse etc. There's a camping at the Oldman campground which includes a Group Camping area, Racehorse Creek Campground, Dutch Creek campground plus numerous random camping areas. The Livingston R, Oldman R, Dutch Creek, Racehorse Creek, Vicary Creek and Daisy Creek are all close by and the Crow is 35-40 k away. As someone earlier mentioned, proximity to liquor store is the only problem so bring lots!! I'll bring the beer bong!!
  22. Sean is the man..He ties awesome flies that catch fish! He taught me a lot about flyfishing and I thank him, It's a shame that he doesn't want to be involved as much this year. Hopefully we can keep FTT going without him.
  23. There's a great bar called the No Name Bar across from the "Seahorse" on the Malecon. The owner, Don Eastcott is a Calgarian and shows all the hockey games. Tell him "Big Al" sent ya. I'm heading there in the New Year!
  24. I have no personality?....OUCH!
