Here's some of my most memorable ones from this year...

most memorable was taking off for a week by myself to explore some new waters. wake up fish a new river, drive at night in the dark. park at a new river and do it all over again.....fished 7 new rivers/creeks in 6 days...

Thread: Black 8/0 Tails/Legs: black micro rubber legs body/wing case: black 1/8" stretch floss (Folded in half over body to give more of a rib look, but flat for wing case...) Dub: black Fished it today. all 5 fish i landed took this. and missed several others. be sure to not make the legs too long as i found it wraps around the body and did some on stream fixins

this is the one i tie....this is on a sz 16 hook *edit* there is a great article in the "fly tyer" magazine (winter 2007) that shows how to tie some small stones...

nice work carl. looks great. sure he'll love it. the one i made for my dad for xmas brought tears to his eyes!

The water levels seemed to be fine. Maybe up a little, but it had rained the whole week previously, which I suspected put the fish off. The Ram was fishing a little better. But the water was definitely higher than usual on it.

I fished cripple this summer once. from one bridge on the FTR down to the next. It was hailing/raining/freezing when I did it, but I didn't see a single fish. Found some good holes and holding water, but no luck....

this is one i tie....just a variation of kaufmann i guess....i dunno...works for me...

If i had any money i would invest in some company in russia in the energy sector....2nd largest besides saudia arabia...mind you the political environment is a little sketchy over there but it is getting better........

Thanks guys. No I haven't started a collection. But I am going to hold on to these for sure...along with his lunch box he stored all his materials in...

Don, Thanks for the reply. You're right it is deer hair that I used. Thanks for the tip on the yarn material, and everything else you've mentioned. Tying these takes took long for my liking anyways. Maybe ill plop it in the water just so I put my mind at rest that it will sink on me. Thanks again.
