  1. Awesome post! Wishing nothing but good luck for your old man and your family!
  2. Maybe I could actually keep track of my indicators with this idea! Or i'll lose them all together haha. Thanks for the idea Lornce!
  3. Great pics! little guy looks like he had a hoot
  4. In central AB our waters have been quite warm since late may. Normally by this time of year I've put in 30-50 days/evenings on some of our wonderful brown trout streams. After an evening of brown drake fishing and a couple fish slow to revive and to be honest I'm not sure probably made it after the release. I decided to give up fishing these waters until they've come down in temperature (still waiting). With a lot more free time I've spent a little more time out on the cutty waters, but also a couple other hobbies are getting much more time put into them than usual during the summer months. I know for me my guitar is seeing a lot more attention than it usually does during fishing season, as well as finally getting around to setting up a much more elaborate tying station in the garage. Just curious about some hobbies fellow members are putting their times towards during these closures.
  5. Just to be clear I ment bring the bans to central AB, not head there to fish. Our streams have been too warm since before brown drakes in early June.
  6. Amen. Until we have enough C.O's as many new rules or regulations can be made but without the bodies to enforce them what good do they really do. As much as I think some kind of system needs to be in place to become a "guide" i'd much rather see some bodies out there cracking down on the assholes abusing the rivers with their off road vehicles. We all seen the big poaching bust a few weeks ago, imagine how many more busts there would be if when you called R.A.P they actually had someone close by to send to check things out
  7. as much as it sucks its about time! now its time to head further north to central ab with these bans
  8. Agreed! Best warranty I have ever had to deal with!
  9. Awesome picture of the rain! looks like your boy had a great day. Love the fish flop picture haha
  10. yowzas, that's a hell of a cutty!
  11. Deadly fish! beautiful colors
  12. If trout lover cant find his copy pm me. I have 3 copies laying around somewhere, one for each vehicle and one beside the tying bench haha. I can afford to part with 1.
  13. Thoughts are with your family, all the best to you guys especially your son. wishing for a speedy recovery !
  14. Beauty fish!! congrats!
  15. always love those dipshits with no clue spouting off.
  16. Ill have a look around the garage, i've got a spare southern Alberta copy somewhere I picked up when I thought I lost mine. I'm a reasonable guy, we could make a deal
  17. In this warm water and having them be as tough as they have been to revive if I don't hook them in the lip id cut the tippet. In the 10+ plus years of fishing the central Alberta brown trout streams I have never seen water this low and warm for this time of year. As much as id like to be out there the rest of the week fishing these phenomenal hatches as of late i'm not comfortable with watching them be so slow to revive. If you are fishing these waters and they take a hook deep consider cutting the tippet and getting that fish back in the water asap
