  1. Wow...damned impressive...grats!
  2. All bull trout, of course....and I hope you were using a 6-hook rig...on three rods....
  3. Very impressive...congratulations!
  4. As a zoologist and a fly-angler that is very law-abiding, if I spot anyone tearing down a fence to access a protected area, I will lay into them myself....there is no excuse for this sort of behaviour. I should hate to think that CCTV cams might be necessary to arrest this, but if they are, I had better not see anyone I know on them...
  5. Very nice...I am all envious now (with my little dining table covered in materials)! Guess I am going to have to learn to use some woodworking tools.
  6. Very nice...just what I am hoping to do...can you provide some details on measurements, and what you used to make some of the routered bits, etc (I am no woodworker, so this sort of thing is not so obvious to me)?
  7. Very nice. What did you use on the fly that is on the left of the last pic...it has some really nice iridescence.
  8. Heh,,it does look kind of like that when flattened out for the photo...but trust me, it does look like worms.
  9. Hmmm...the photo posting gods are apparently not your friend. Here is a 'Gob O Worms' from a couple of nights ago (first one I have tied) after seeing it on a site the other day:
  10. Really sucks...he was so young and such a great and innovative tyer.
  11. Try using imagecave and just copy and paste the EZ Code.
  12. Found this an interesting read, even if it does not come to a conclusive ending: http://www.calpaddle.com/calpaddle/forums/...420&start=1
  13. I will have a copy from the bylaw office tomorrow...I must admit a curiosity myself, as to the wording.
  14. We should get together some rainy day or evening for a tying party. Been tying myself for almost 30 years, on and off, and I love to see what other people are doing...especially experimentation. That is mind, I would love to see some shots of what you are tying on here, particularly if they have a fished review to go with them. It would also be great for we tyers to have a network to trade/share/etc supplies (like the year I found myself with a whole deer hide and no-one to share with).
  15. Or, if they fit and you want to really save some $, I spotted this on kijiji: http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-sp...AdIdZ273746385#
  16. It is....the stuff is surplus/dated Bass Pro stock.
  17. That is why it has always been referred to as 'Chesterslough'....
  18. I just checked...the 20th, apparently, but with the weather the past week, it may be reasonably untouched....I will be stopping by there tomorrow.
  19. Its going to happen...tix in Vancouver are the hottest thing right now...apparently they are averaging just under $1000/ticket right now. When Van takes the cup, the city will be a riot zone.
  20. I believe I saw some decent deals on some down at Springbrook on Wednesday.
  21. DeWitt Pond, West of Airdrie was stocked on the 24th, I believe.
  22. Good job. Last fall I called in a fellow who was completely ignoring bans, limits and sizes on whitefish on the Bow at Cochrane....ballsy bugger set up just down from me and started fishing...once he had hauled in his 5th fish, I decided to wander a bit closer and have a look....bait fishing and keeping everything he caught, so I gave RPP a ring, but said nothing to the poacher...figured they could catch him at it. Unfortunately, I had time constraints and had to leave before the CO showed, but I would have loved to have seen that.
