I did not have the please of meeting Jeff but share some good conversation on FFC. Too young and sorry to family and friends for your loss. Obviously a stand up guy. He is fishing pristine water up there.

Sorry for your loss. Yes there is help out there. Sometimes the person is too caught up in the emotions to realize there is help, or too caught up to seek it. There was a time in my life in the early 80s that I was lucky enough to seek help. I sometimes feel if I didnt have a background in social work and criminology, I too may not have sought the help I needed and who knows what may have happened. I was lucky to know it was there.

Going with a guide just not sure if local or via Italian company.

Thanks Monger, They look quite lite in weight. Do you need to add weight to get distance for a cast?

The better half wants to do Cuba, and wants me to fish flats for bone. Well Okay, Hell yes. So got great info from FFC and a local shop. My concern is bone are spooky as is. I cast fairly well but will likely lay it down hard on the water a few times. I hear bones in Cuba are plentiful and for a first timer is the place to go to likely increase your odds of landing. My concern is my better half spins, and wants to fish as well,(No Problem.) Is it fair for me to assume the spinning lure would make enough slash to spook anything within a decent distance for me to cast a fly to. May just have to rotate time for each. Any input is welcome. I have had my vehicle broken into for less than a dollar of loose change. Who knows what little or lot it takes to motivate a thief let alone a crack head thief.

When it comes to crack heads nothing is surprising.

Sucks big time. Hope the creeps get caught. But the courts will give them a slap on the wrist. Will keep an eye out. I always watch kijiji.

First year in many we can't make it to the show. Im sure a lot is the same but always like some seminars and anything new. Always like to see Diane Michelin and Dennis. I guess i just wont be drooling as much this week. Good for any members who volunteered at the FFC booth.

You pretty well nailed it. Be ready to launch or at pull out. I have met many great folks at the launch and some you know for years. They and I are always ready to lend a hand. These members have seen and heard of many bad launch no etiquette situations. Most are very good.

As Doc said, the show is a great and a perfect opp to try all sorts of gear.
