  1. I have an '05 Impreza Hatchback....Great winter car, goes eveywhere, lots of room. Subaru is a great all round vehicle. The AWD does chew through the fuel..Just cuz its a car doesn't mean it gets good gas mileage..
  2. Looks great....Let me know how it turns ( no pun intended) out..
  3. Thanks for the info..I have never gone after Bull Trout.. Would love to but, dont know where to start.Where do guys go? I would mainly be fishing the south Bow with the 7wt (probably go down to a 6wt after reading most posts). I think the 6wt and 4wt would make better sense...Could you fish for bull trout with a 6wt?
  4. Great...Thanks for the info.....Just wondering. 1.5 for the 4wt is that the weight of the reel? Thanks again
  5. If you were to own two different weight rods what would they be? I bought a 7wt ( Bow) and 4wt ( Oldman, Livingston,Crow) Is this a good setup? I think the 7wt might be overkill. Should I drop to a 5/6wt? Any advice would be great? My exp. level is intermediate. Cheers
  6. Thanks for the infor so far guys....I figured I would use my #7 wt for the bow...But reading what most people use, 6wt seems like the go to rod. I am just wondering should I trade in my 7 for a 6wt..Are a 4 and 6 wt a better combo than a 4 and 7 wt?
  7. Just looking for suggestions on reels.. I have purchased a # 4 and 7Wt rod and have to outfit them with reels. I am looking for something in middle price point. So far, I have looked at Lamson Konic. Anyone using it? Do you like it? Any other recommendations? Thanks
  8. I am new to tying and would like some advice..Iam currently reading Charlie Craven's Basic Fly Tying book and practising Brassies and Black Beauty's. In the book he gives some different pattern variations of each. I just wondering what different colors are people using? Has anyone used chartreuse, green, wine?
  9. Thanks to everyone who responded...Great advice on the boat... I have looked at a couple of the websites and wondered which boat would fit on top of my Subaru...I think a light nine footer is in the cards. As far as waders are concerned, I totally agree with " you get what you pay for", but whats the differene in technology in waders above $200? Are you paying for the Simms name or are they a superior product? Thanks again for the information
  10. I am getting back into flyfishing and would like some advice on buying waders and a pontoon boat. Looking for some opinions on both
