  12. I also met someone up there this year that ate a fish... Bottom-line is if your fishing that lake you know it has cuttys and you KNOW they can't be kept anywhere in the park. However there should be better signage at the trailheads and at the lake .Then when it goes in front of the judge there are NO excuses..I will pay for the signage !
  13. Cutty lakes in Banff now closed. It will be interesting when all the samples are done . i suspect its been around several years and spread . Most likely started in the bow but hopefully it has not spread into the Highwood.
  14. I have been to the area a couple of times this year..No sign of bears ..the seem to like the ski hill..lol... Both Baker and Ptarmigan have lots of Brookies.
  15. The Devon lakes don't have any fish in them as Charlie and Schindler netted everything out to restore the bug population.
  16. Cutties were originally stocked in the Lake in 1955 but did not take. The Brookies have been in the lake since 65 so over 50 years. Catch em , eat some if you want..limit is 2 ..but other that leave them alone. Thumbs up to Hidden and Rainbow lake restorations.
  17. You and I will never agree on this which is fine but I will stand firm in my belief that we do NOT need to eliminate Non -Natives from these lakes where Natives will not survive.
  18. "There is also concern that focussed angling efforts could have the unintended consequence of increased incidental hooking mortality of native species. " I find this comment in the TU article very interesting.
  19. Excellent points by both of you gentlemen. Thanks for the input Geoff. I am curious about Badger lake which is on the target list for this Summer. It looks pretty Isolated but when I did my research I was wondering can those fish get down the outlet ,survive and make it into the main system ?
  20. I know they( You Guys ) took another 7000 out last year to total more than 12,000 but I was going to ask Bill if they are going to take one more season to see if there are any left.
  21. Thanks for the update. I wish I could have made it. I like to challenge most things Parks does but this was a good thing. As you are aware the same thing is going on with Hidden Lake and hopefully Cutties can be added there very soon.
  22. That should be an excellent event. I am stuck in Jasper fishing this weekend. Maybe a good thing because I may really to stick to my old friend Bill.
  23. This picture has made my day ! Thanks
