  1. Send him the Three Isle ! Should fit all your needs..
  2. The biggest issue with those overnighters is staying warm but keeping your gear light enough to carry. It's a challenge.
  3. There are some individual episodes you may want.. www.welikefishing.com/shop/
  4. Like I said ..It's matter of your opinion..which I get where your coming from.. but each to there own. Just asks those who worship those waters that hold Goldens and the experience the journey to reach those waters.
  5. It's a matter of your opinion I guess.
  6. Thus this thread comes fill circle ! The title of the thread is distasteful..pardon the pun because Brookies are very good eating.. Jim's work and other is commendable and I strongly support the projects to bring back native species where it can be done with an a high rate of success. But thus the problem that is created is that there are those who don't get it. While in certain situations such as Quirk ,non natives should be removed.. the species and in this case ..the brook trout ..is a prized game fish that in other waters should be treated as a treasured resource. I always fear that those Brookie bashers don't get it . They don't realize that this project is about restoring natives in their traditional flowing water not to create a mentality the Brookie trout are trash and should be destroyed every where they are found.
  7. "Ditching" of brookies from any systems is illegal and should get you poaching charges. Thank you for this ! I get the projects and their value and support them .. The overall Brookie BASHING however by some makes me sick !
  8. and I have been bashing the Browns and the Rainbows in the Bow as well .TASTY...
  9. I can tell you with 100 per cent certainity that it is a Brown that appears to be crossed with something. Taco while your dislike for Brook trout is apparent I wish you would include Browns and Non Native Rainbows in that animosity.
  10. Considering what Jim's goal is it make no sense to have a MIN size limit on the Rainbows.
  11. We shouldn't and don't stock NON NATIVES in the Bow now ...So the RDR should be the same. Nver said we should get rid of the Browns in the RDR ..Just not in to adding more..
  12. What does that have to do with it ? Didn't say I don't like Exotics ? It's where they are !
  13. Can't support the stocking of NON NATIVE FISH in flowing waters that already have Native Species.
  14. I let a nice 14 inch Brown.. pound and half .. go so all good !
  15. Yes along with the Rainbows and Browns yanked out of the highwood..
  16. Not an oil expert by any means but.. If a pipeline is 50 years olds and it 's under a river.. Can I conclude that with corosion , heat /cold , movement in the ground due to water pressure , possible fault lines ect that pipelines in these locations are more likely to crack and leak then those under just a piece of land ?
  17. Be interested to find out who or where you heard this from. Only in the Athabasca River System would one even consider that possibility. Anywhere south the Rainbows are just as Non native as the Brookies so there is no validity to that statement that bio's are worried about it. Maybe your thinking of Cutties ?
  18. The public is paying for this lake to be stocked as well so there has to be some sort of happy medium.
