  1. Neat video. I too was looking for a Bull Trout twist. Either way, looked like a healthy cutt. You tuckered out the poor lil' gaffer.
  2. Wicked Browns. I love that closeup pic!

    Hike In

Sounds like an intense moment, should make for a good memory.

    Hike In

Glad to see you got into some fish, and good ones at that!
  5. Cool shots. I like your picture taking style. The place looks gorgeous and it looks like you had a great time. Thanks for posting!
  6. Thanks Bigtoad. I can't really read the coordinates in that image, but I could always do the same thing. And yes, Google does like to **** around every once in a while.
  7. That is a monster of a brookie. Amazing! And the legend continues...
  8. Great pics. That is a piggy of a brown. End of a skunk I'll say!
  9. Thanks Smitty. Bigtoad said it's the only trail heading directly South and that it is just after a boggy section. So that, combined with the sign, should help me out a lot.
  10. Thanks BBT. I remembered that topic just after I posted this and I have been in contact with Bigtoad.
  11. Great pics Steve, thanks for sharing! I always enjoy your picture posts.
  12. Thanks for the info Smitty. Good to know I'm not going to really need anything super specific to get into some fish. If you don't post that you talked to your horse guy I'll remind you in a week or so. It's really just the turnoff to the lake that I'm worried about. I've found the trail head to Ranger Creek before.
  13. Releasing the people's names opens a huge can of worms regarding privacy and information that I don't think anyone here really wants. While I do totally condemn those that drove around the man, there is a psychological precedent for this kind of thing. Bystander Apathy Effect: http://psychology.wikia.com/wiki/Bystander_intervention I don't know, in the end someone should have stopped.
  14. Nice fish! Congratulations, your life is over.
  15. Wise words Hawgstoppah. And Xplorer, great pics and fish. Looks like an amazing time. Love the dark spots on those cutties and the colour in their cheeks. Healthy fish.
  16. I'm most likely going to be doing the hike into Lost Guide Lake from the Hummingbird Equestrian Area sometime in September and was wondering if anyone else has done it? What can I expect for fishing, and what should I bring for flies? Also, I've done the hike to Ranger Creek so I kind of know what to expect as far as the trails in the area are concerned, but I was wondering what the deal was with the trail to the lake. Is it clearly marked? Is there a sign? If not, how will I know it when I see it? Any help with the hike, or fishing the lake, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Cory
  17. Those are fantastic! Nice Bruins all 'round.
  18. Awesome post! I loved the story about the wrong lake...and then the wrong lake again! Glad to hear you guys got some money back which I am sure definitely helped any resentment. The goldens are absolutely beautiful and I'm glad to hear you guys found some success.
  19. Glad you guys enjoyed them. There definitely is something special about the little creeks.
  20. Unlike some of the other people, I totally see the humour in, and the ridiculous nature of, the fact that the part was in such a large box. Furthermore, I understand that you weren't using the box as a slight against Orvis, but merely as an amusing observation.
  21. Yeah, the roads are pretty decent. I used to take my little Saturn SC1 on the Trunk Road all the time.
  22. The other/smaller brown I caught. In true brown trout fashion he was staying tucked right in tight to the bank under an overhanging shrub and rising sporadically. I had to literally drift the fly about 2 inches from his face to get a take. I had an awesome day and the biggest fish topped out at around 10-11". I had a blast.
  23. I thought the water created a cool effect in this one. Vermiculations.
  24. I hit up a creek yesterday and fished for some small brookies and had an awesome time with around 20 brookies and 2 browns to hand. I missed probably twice that many hits. It was a beautiful day to be out and god damn do I love stalking skinny water. Interestingly enough, I also like taking pictures, so enjoy. Good ol' Adams. This uncooperative little bugger made for a cool looking pic. This brown was a pleasant surprise. He was a scrapper too.
  25. That brown is puuuuurrrrrdy!
