  3. was out thur. good browns but none on the dry.
  4. you just cut out the part off with all the info on it. the fastest way to get a new rod: call loomis tell your story see what they will give you to replace your rod, hen pay for that rod up front and when you send in your old rod they will take the charges off your card. hope that helps.
  5. found one today in a red bag with bird seed. i was sure it was a head.
  6. so i have three kids 2, 4, and 2 months so my time on the water is limited at best. on saturdays i start work at 10am so i sneak out of the house early and get in some me time. i should have known it was not going to be my best day when i got in the truck and had the fear of sharting in my pants. with time limited i speed to the spot to find i have it all to myself. in my rush take three attempts at setting up my rod only to still miss one eye. next i move onto the wader hop (a dance i invented this morning) that ends with me falling on my can. now i am chomping at the bit to get in the water, and i did. some ice on the guides the sound of water, it is worth it. find a nice run spend about 10min and then i see "the spot". so needing to make up time that i will not see until next saturday i figure i will just walk through the deepest spot on the bow. it's too late no turning back, it was like super fast slow motion. over the top. i tried to keep fishing but i just... o well, back to the truck to do the wet numb wader hop. so as i am driving around this morning in swamp ass boxers and a soggy cell, enjoying the seat heater wondering how i am going to get to the office, i start thinking.... and its all good. have a good one. josh.
  7. the wood shop in red willow ab., is the name of that place that makes very good ones(they supply all the big boys). i did a house for him a few years back. josh
  8. last spring my 10ish year old gl3 snapped. called up loomis and was told it could take a few months to get my gl3 so they offered me a eastfork. i payed up front for the eastfork and at the same time sent in the gl3 handle. got my new rod in about a week and when they got the handle the charge for the eastfork was gone. and i did pay 75. i would buy another if they were not so spendy.

  12. it was a good time. a bit of a learning curve but thats what it is about for me. it is good to meet some people that truly enjoy the same things i do. thanks again and hope i get the chance to do some fishing with a few of you.
  13. so a bit of a simple question but i am slow. is the rod size (wt) or length chosen for the size of fly or fish or both? i am looking at rods for the bow and was wanting to go as light as i could with still being practical. i am wanting to use it for mainly streamers. thanks
