never said about the production of the rods..but objected to what you said in regards to the assembly of them..they are shipped to China to cut down on the cost of labour..and that isn't the only rod maker either..so to my logic, if by sending out the assembly of the rods which is time consuming, and costly, then they should be able to reduce the cost of said rods and share their wealth, with the ppl you gave them the dollar in the first place. ..and i read in another post the part that the ppl in China are paid as much as we are, sorry, there is a very old saying that suites this perfectly... .. ......................Wolfie

hi there....it's been a while since i fished the pinks on the Island , however, i take it that this is the "odd" year for them..the most productive year, am i right?...anyway the fly that we used was a simple as one can get..made with a very bright FL. Chartreuse, if not that Hot Pink..chenille..BUT..my colour that gave me 45 pinks, was neither one of the colours used by my friends...it was made with : "Hollywood Cerise"..[note the image], just a single wrap from the head to the bend of the streamer hook....that's it nothing fancy..short strips , and in most cases it didn't get a chance to move no more than 3-5', before it was smashed.........Wolfie

OH!..........since when are they made in the states..as you suggested, they are exported to China , m8 , where they are assembled there, and the labour as you all know is extremely cheap...sorry to burst ur bubble, but not everyone believes or thinks that the almighty rod is a 'sage'...it is an overrated, over price rod ..period..that the Americans decided to plug to the highest level..as a custom rod builder of 17 years , catering to the Scandinavian market, excluding the Canadian and American market, I can tell you plainly that there are far better builders than Sage..it was NOT a major front runner , when I was in business, for other brand names were giving it a run for it's $$$$... ..In my way of thinking, if a rod feels good to you, as you are test casting it, then that should be the decided figure in it's purchase...NOT who's name is on it ..manufacture or promoter...and the price range over $200.00 to sky's the limit..$1200.00 for a Sage....pffffffffft!....is an American ploy to rip ppl off... making you think that the higher the price...the better u r getting..there u go again ..the Almighty Green Back!..................Wolfie

..listen m8..it not only happens in this forum but in every forum I've ever been in and still are in to date..People forget..everyone is just typing out words in a form of communications to get across their thoughts, However..we all forget that..Expression in tone of voice can not be heard nor the expressions on one's face when things are typed...that's it in a nut shell m8.. ..you are using urself as an example, pertaining to some photo that I've not seen..so...let it go..no biggy right, we all post things that are NOT in agreeance with everyone..myself included.. ..why would I post that I had a post removed you ask..cause that is why I created this thread to find a certain post that I couldn't find, thus.. bhurt...some really good points you brought up, however..I know for a fact that having a post of mine would not lead to a pissing match between staff and myself..and that would be because I don't believe the Mods whoever they are are young twits with the age of 14..but mature ppl, who have respect not only for themselves but most of all for others. ..and again m8...u should really try and understand what both ÜberFly and myself are saying..no one has really objected to having posts removed, moved or deleted, what is being said is that the staff should continue to PM who's post had been dealt with and explained to them...giving the members a respective feeling towards the staff... ..as you said once before in a thread, you like to stir the pot, even though you may not like what is brewing..or was that, you didn't like .. pasta?........Wolfie
