haha.. I know there's fish in there.. I just have a hard time reading the water I think because it's all so big and wide. The first time I went I tried upstream.. this time I tried downstream by the bend and cliffs.. but it just wasn't my day. After Thursday night.. I should've expected that!
Rickr.. were you at Mac today?? Saw someone that I thought looked like you..

Thanks guys. Was able to find it no problem.
On another note.. 2nd time to McKinnons now and 2nd time skunked. Why does it suck so bad?
-
How do I get there again?
Is it the first right after the big blue silo thingys?

Noah Augustus Birch is now 5 weeks old.. doing great.. was up to 6lbs. 4oz. at the last appointment.
Eating, sleeping, pooping, and peeing like a little machine!!
Caught wind the other day that my cousins have "ordered him a present that Ryan will really like too!".. have a feeling its definitely fly fishing related.. thinking maybe a little rod or something.

Its not bashing, Its just telling the truth, there is nothing wrong or illegal about it. Its the same as walking into a restaraunt and having the worst service & the worst meal you have ever had in your life then you say to someone that was the worst food and service I have ever had and I will not go back there. Everyone here has done it at one point in time or the other about one thing or the other.
The difference is that the admins/mods on this site can be dragged into a whole 'bunch a crap'.
This is a public forum and the admins and mods have requested that we don't. Period.

Didn't realize there was a book!:

Who's read it? Is it as good as the movie?

That bridge picture is amazing!
I'd send that in for a "best pictures of the year" contest for sure!

Picked up a new pair from Hanson's on Friday. The brand is "Sea Striker". They cost me $3.50 after using my $50 gift certificate. Sweet!
So far so good.. they seem to work well.

Here are the new Oakley's:
In the description on their site it says: "And to keep fish from getting an unfair advantage, we eliminate the kind of haze and distortion found in ordinary polarized lenses by bonding our filter at the molecular level."
Dam those cheatin fish!
And a bargain at just $255!! I might as well get a few pairs.
-
Don't know bout you guys, i wont break any regulations but i sure as shyte breakin all your rules. I like to catch.
Amen brother.
-
I'm with your dad on this...no cheatin.
Fancy glasses, cheatin...
Waders, cheatin'...
boats, cheatin'...
net, cheatin'...
indicator, cheatin'...
hahaha.. But if it wasn't for all those things Toolman.. I wouldn't have caught one damn fish this year!!
As far as the polarized glasses go.. I bought a $40 pair of "Optic Nerve" glasses at WSS this year and they worked great. Tried on CDock's Oakley's and couldn't tell a difference.
Of course.. CDock still has his Oakley's.. meanwhile, I set my glasses on the top of my car while doing something else and then drove away! This was in front of my house.. came home figuring they'd be lying on the road there somewhere but they were gone. Someone went home with some new glasses that day! Damn thief!

The fishing sucked, but it was a nice place to wet a line.
Is that Cateract?

Congrats on an awesome season rickr!! I'll be going a bit later myself.. apparently I have to beat the "biggest fish caught by a rookie" mark of 26.5"..
But i'm not competitive at all...
-
No worries headscan.. Toolman and BigBadBrent are both good guys.. they just don't get along with each other that great..
I prefer to use a net. I have one of those big mamma jamma catch and release nets with the metal frame from Wholesale Sports. Works like a charm. You can leave the fish in the water, take the hook out, and then just lower the net and they swim away.
Even though I have these big hands, for some reason I can't seem to hang on to a fish without really squeezing them, which to me is more harmful than netting them.
Just my opinion.
