Should be perfect for a belly boat or an inner tube, shouldn't it.

I have bought from this eBay seller & as far as my limited knowledge of what is a good fly on not, I thought they were fine. I've been told that they are better than the flies from WS. Also, our dollar is very favourable now.

Sure, as long as we can do it online. Who TFC's about $5?

I was told by a CO that they don't have to accept photocopies of anything. When I'm fishing I always carry my drivers license. I also carry my credit cards & cash with me. I don't leave that kind of stuff in my vehicle. A friend of mine who used to leave his wallet concealed somewhere in his vehicle while fishing, found out the hard way, that that is not a good idea.

No WIN is required if you are 65 or older. The regulations are perhaps a little confusing but if you look on page 14 of the regs, just above the fee schedule you will see that it say's "to buy a license, you must have a WIN". Seeing as you do not have to buy a license, you do not need a WIN.

That's a great post. Thanks

Good grief junior; there is no comparison between an inner tube & a belly boat; get your head out of your ; what ever!! Look on the net & see what a belly boat is!

When a large fish is caught from a boat on a river like the Bow it may take some time to get it to the net. It isn't always possible to get to shore to land it. The fish may be released a considerable distance downstream from where it was caught. When released, does it just find a suitable spot near there to continue it's life, or will it work it's way back upstream to where it wanted to be in the first place? Anyone have any ideas or knowledge of this question? Thanks

Some of us 'old farts' don't need a license, but I'll bet we usually have a small digital camera. Not much point trying to call RAP if you are on the Livingstone. Some one once said " A picture is worth a thousand words". Get the a-holes!! -
When you say tubing, I assume you are talking about large truck tire or tractor tubes that are popular for floating rivers: that is not a belly boat. I have never seen anyone fly fishing from a tire tube. As to the lack of a wading belt, no one says you will drown if you don't wear one. but you certainly increase your chances of doing so if you fall into the water.

Not saying it's impossible to catch a fish from them, I just don't think it's worth the risk. There is a lot of fast, rocky, shallow water in the Bow. I sure don't want my legs hanging down from a belly boat in that river!

Did a little walk & wade fishing today on the Bow ( me & a ton of other people ) & actually saw 2 guys ( idiots ) in belly boats cruising down the river. Belly boats on the Bow : are you kidding me!! I doubt if their combined IQ would exceed 150.

I have the Force Fins & found through trial & error that if you rotate the upstream fin slightly in a counterclockwise direction it will keep your pontoon in perfect alignment to the bank or seam that you are fishing. I paid $150 at WS about 4 years ago. Pricey at the time but I think worth it.

They are quite lean so I do mine in tinfoil with some onion. Pretty good camp food if you haven't been able to club a foolhen & the griz have already got to the cooler you left on the picnic table. -
