Hey bud, sorry been a zoo, will check them now -
I am using a much better light than before and keeping the battery fresh. Hoping that was the problem last year and this will remedy it!

Hey All, just started tying with Solarez UV resins, specifically as an epoxy head substitute and as a thin shine on the dirty worm. Used the Loon UV products last offseason, and I found that the epoxy heads kept peeling off. Just curious as I’m in the process of tying spring flies and I don’t want a couple dozen flies that I end up junking, how have you all found the product? Thanks!

Size 16 Pheasant Tail with small tan zebra legs and an epoxy head has been by far the most effective dropper I’ve used. Have tried both with and without the legs and definitely in my experience the legs add to my hookups significantly. I have a deep hatred of tying them, but in the end seems more than worth it.

Hey Guys, Use a Rubber Legged Pheasant tail alot in the spring for fishing. Have the pattern dialed in, but have been noticing that the Loon UV cured product that I used as an epoxy substitute is coming off rather easily. Just curious, what are all the hardcore tiers using for epoxy heads (preferably UV cured). Thanks!!!

Don Andersen, fishing legend and the reason I even heard about the possible closure! Hope to see ya at Dutch Creek for a beer again!

Can’t believe this is going to be pushed through this easily, I barely even heard about it as I don’t “social media” alot. Read Dave Jensens piece about this, seems like alot of unsubstantiated claims of problems with no given solution. Amazed the general public isn’t getting alot of clearcut and highly publicized information on this.

Thank you guys so much, bought my first fly rod there, took the one day primer course there, super sad day for the community here. Have always tried to spread my dollars out between the local shops, definitely don’t want to see any more of my happy haunts close the doors. All the best to Mike and staff.

I agree on the Orvis Waders. I have the convertible silver sonic which are pricey, but the fit is so comfy. My first pair wasbthe mid priced Orvis Silver Label, I believe they lasted me 4 or 5 seasons. Only ever had one pair of Reddingtons and they didn't even last one season. Simms are fantastic but definitely alot of dough.

Have been having some significant problems with breakage on the top fly of my nymph rig recently, lost several on the Crow and a big brute on the Bow today. Running 3x off the fly line to a swivel, then 4x to a size 6 wire worm and 4x again to a dropper. I have always kind of realized the 4x tippet to a worm that hook size was a little undersized, but obviously have been going for the reduced visibilty of the smaller tippet. Im fearing the solution to this problem is going to 3x to the worm, but am a little concerned about going away from something that has worked well for an awful lot of seasons. Just wanted to quiz the Bow River pros out there how they go about rigging up to a larger worm, and if the 3x has worked solid for others. The worm always seems to produce on that river, and losing that big boy today makes me think I have to reevaluate the process possibly. Any tips?

http://www.handypaknetco.com Just stumbled across this cool collapsible net. Has a real old school look, seems like a perfect net for cutty/bull country when u have a serious hike. This post is for those that hate having a net swinging off a back pack....interested to see it in action!!!!!

the wierd thing i found about the tribs around the cutty hut was that the traditional dries that would match the traditional hatches seemed completely ineffective, yet super buggy attractors, especially the fat albert, would bring back the old pre flood warmth of recklessly rising cutties. i know some folks frown on specifics, but just curious, did anyone have success on upper dutch creek up from the campground post flood? any drastic changes up that way? was the first season in the past half dozen indidnt check it out......definitely gonna have to make a stop at the new cutty hut Al, i remember last year being at lot 3 in Racehorse Campground wondering "where the hell is this cutty hut place they keep talkin about".....

I originally had the Battenkill on my three weight, really didnt find it heavy at all. Went with a loop evotec, great drag and wonderful reel, but as mentioned preciously, a little much for cutties....
